This project includes a study of the access to justice needs in both official languages for members of official language communities living with disabilities in the Ottawa region and its surroundings.

This project includes the development and delivery of legal information services and consumer rights information sessions to Anglophone minority communities in the West Island of Montreal and the RCM of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

The project aims to translate into French a set of specialized doctrinal texts on concrete issues related to the practice of law in Canada. These texts, selected because of their quality, their practical relevance and their usefulness for lawyers, deal in particular with fiduciary responsibility, civil harassment, the liability of others, professional ethics, work with vulnerable clienteles and the methodology of legal research and writing.

This funding opportunity aims to support Official Language Minority Communities (OLMC) organizations to deliver Employment Assistance Services (EAS) to English-speaking communities in Quebec and Francophone communities outside Quebec in their first official language. EAS includes services such as providing job search assistance, counselling/case management, job placement services, and unassisted services to help individuals prepare for, obtain and/or maintain employment.

Support aboriginal communities in becoming successful participants in commercial fisheries and aquaculture

1. To understand the lived experiences of First Nations and Métis individuals and communities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba during evacuations, as well as the health impacts on evacuees over time (i.e. taking both a cross-sectional and longitudinal approach). 2. To advance the capacity of the NEIHRs and relevant partners to implement a rapid research design at the community level, including identifying who is best situated to implement such a design in partnership with First Nations and Métis communities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and links to other organizations and first responders involved in the local emergency response. 3. To understand how data can be collected and managed ethically during emergencies—balancing Tri-Council guidelines with community-defined ethics.
