Krux MWD will be a drill and instrumentation agnostic data logging system that can be added to virtually any new or existing diamond coring, reverse circulation, sonic or underground drilling rig technology. The system will collect, store, aggregate and normalize certain drilling rig operational data to be loaded in real-time to the KruxLog data collection App. The data can be used for; 1) the auto-generation of Daily Shift Reports reducing human interaction and data entry 2) Drilling Operational trend monitoring to identify potential areas for operational efficiencies 3) Data Models that can be used for Machine Learning, Automation and Analytics.

AI Shading - Intelligent, Comfortable and Affordable Building Emission Reduction Technology. Emissions reduction targets can easily be met using AI Shading. There are no high retrofit costs and high payback periods. The AI Shading real-time energy saving report helps sustainability managers and architects to easily demonstrate emission reduction success.
Retrofits such as LED lighting and Smart Thermostats can be complimented using AI Shading technology. The autonomous shading system helps maintain a comfortable temperature without sacrificing natural sunlight or requiring HVAC system assistance.

This Project will develop hybrid structural technology to support aquaculture in closed marine aquaculture systems.

To design and develop a next generation LEV wireless power transfer platform that supports various LEV types present in the market or soon to be developed in the future. Said LEV WPT platform will support various voltage and wattage configurations, with the added capability of inductive wireless charging either at 600W, 2kW and 11kW outputs, each with an appropriate input voltage range of 36V up to 300V to accommodate for most LEVs present in the in the market. The LEV WPT platform will feature a high misalignment tolerance, less fabrication materials, and a new single-stage power converter in the ground assembly.

Nature-based coastal and riverine infrastructure options have become increasingly common elements of climate adaptation plans. The long-term success of these solutions depends equally on the capacity for a particular solution to achieve desired outcomes, and the ability of this infrastructure to withstand both current and future environments. Coastal hydrodynamics models for waves, SWAN (Simulating Waves Nearshore) model, and storm surge, Delft 3D, will be used to assess potential storm surge levels and wave action along parts of coastal Newfoundland and Labrador. Results will be used to identify study sites that are vulnerable to such events at present, or in the future, where nature-based infrastructure solutions can be used as part of climate change adaptation measures. Climate change adaptation strategies using nature-based solutions to coastal protection infrastructure will be explored at the identified study site(s).

This project is the commercial deployment of the building energy ledger. The goal is to demonstrate improvements using a digital supply chain for energy projects with real customers.

The proposed projects will continue the collaboration work with the University of Alberta, that has existed since April 2019.
