About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Access to Health Fund in Myanmar

The Access to Health Fund (A2H) is a multi-donor program managed by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). The Fund contributes to increasing access to better and more relevant health services for vulnerable populations, strengthening health systems, and increasing social cohesion in conflict-affected areas in Myanmar through a gender-sensitive and rights-based approach. Canada’s contribution to the Fund strengthens its focus on gender equality, especially as it relates to sexual health and reproductive rights, with a strong emphasis on supporting local voices and partners, including women-led and women’s rights organizations.
Project activities include: (1) providing family planning and uptake of contraceptives; (2) providing post-abortion care; (3) providing cervical cancer screening and treatment; (4) establishing gender based violence (GBV) prevention activities and referral for GBV survivors; (5) developing awareness-raising and comprehensive sexuality education for adolescents, young

Launched in 1993, Juriterm is intended for all people who are interested in the language of law, whether in translation, writing, teaching or learning. Juriterm contains the entire standardized French vocabulary of the common law, and several hundred definitions from The Common Law from A to Z. This project includes the digital redesign of this platform to ensure that its many resources are still available for years to come.
