This 24-month project will develop, pilot and disseminate a community-based pandemic recovery model to address the root causes of gender-based violence. Heritage Skills Development Centre will achieve this by conducting a participatory needs assessment, creating and piloting a community pandemic recovery model for preventing and addressing violence against women, and disseminating the model and recommendations among community and policy makers.

At the end of the project, the organization will have developed a promising practice that increased networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, supported positive distribution of authority, voices, and decision-making power, and advanced inclusive policies and practices.

This project will engage organizations, sector experts, and women with lived experience from the Scarborough community to identify specific needs and priorities, and pilot the pandemic recovery model and action plans developed. Toronto Community Housing (TCHC), Women Multicultural Resource and Counselling Centre (WMRCC), Management Advisory Services of Toronto (MAS) and Cross Edge Community Network will directly participate in the delivery and evaluation of the project. The effectiveness of the recovery model will be carefully documented through ongoing evaluation.

The Canadian Great War Project

This 30-month project will promote a feminist response to and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19 through systemic change. To achieve this, Action travail des femmes du Québec inc. plans to oppose the phenomena whereby female immigrant workers are made vulnerable and disqualified, with a special focus on economic recovery policy, first by conducting research on government economic recovery policies and strategies as they relate to the recognition of prior learning and employability programs and services, and then by developing a forum for claims and engagement strategies to lead collective action and to submit these demands to the public authorities concerned.

By the end of the project, the organization will have helped eliminate systemic barriers by promoting inclusive policies and practices, by changing persistent and harmful gender norms and attitudes, and by promoting a more effective and equitable division of resources in support of women’s equality.

This 30-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. The Alternatives for Women in Prince Edward County will achieve this by developing and piloting a training and public
engagement program for women, youth and service providers to address inequality, systemic barriers and gender-based violence faced by women in the community. This program will include building skills of local agencies, organizations and businesses,
while also facilitating skill development groups for women and engagement sessions for youth to prevent GBV. Each component of the training program will be evaluated, and the knowledge and resources created and improved through the project will be
disseminated within the community and relevant stakeholders.
At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by increasing networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, addressing persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes, and encouraging
more equitable and effective sharing of resources to support women’s equality.
The project will be developed in collaboration with three community partners: Three Oaks Foundation, Sexual Assault Centre, and the Prince Edward County Ontario Provincial Police.

This 30-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19 through systemic change. Armagh will achieve this by increasing equal access to its programs and services and community education and awareness
about gender-based violence in Peel Region; sharing recommended sustainable changes and adaptations following an environmental scan with service providers; creating, distributing and marketing a resource matrix through a service mapping initiative of violence against women services to meet the needs of specific populations; and developing and disseminating education materials through community engagement, presentations and awareness social media and marketing campaigns. At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices, supporting positive distribution of resources, developing networks and collaborations, and changing norms and attitudes
about gender-based violence in Peel Region to support women’s equality. The effectiveness of these initiatives will be documented through a program evaluation and report on successes.
This project will engage men and boys and women and girls with lived experience to influence pandemic recovery responses and build relationships between equality seeking organizations and other stakeholders to collaborate across sectors to advance gender equality.

This 30-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. Calgary Vietnamese Women’s Association will achieve this by conducting and documenting a formal needs assessment informed by Vietnamese women in Calgary; researching existing community service supports and advocacy literature for this racialized population group; writing white letters and calls-to-action papers to community organizations and government representatives to address identified service support gaps; meeting with service providers to help design inclusive programs and services; and disseminating project findings among stakeholders and influential decision makers to advocate for culturally relevant program and service planning and funding policy practices.

At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices, encouraging more equitable and effective sharing of resources, and increasing networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change to support women’s equality.

This project will engage research professionals, community service providers, ethno-cultural sector experts, political leaders, and women with lived experience in addressing the equality challenges experienced by Vietnamese women in Calgary, particularly the barriers to their economic security and prosperity. In collaboration with Action Dignity, Calgary Vietnamese Women’s Association will seek to advance key recommendations for practices and programs towards a recovery from the impacts of COVID-19.

This 30-month project aims to foster a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19 through systemic change. To achieve this, the Centre francophone du Grand Toronto (CFGT) plans to 1) integrate GBA+ into all of programs delivered by the CFGT, 2) develop a partnership between different sectors in the Greater Toronto Area, and 3) implement promising practices in the elimination of violence against women and girls and achieving gender equality.

At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to the removal of systemic barriers by 1) promoting inclusive policies and practices, and 2) increasing networks and collaboration to collaboration to accelerate systemic change in support of women's equality.

This project will develop a continuum of French language services for women and girls in the Greater Toronto Area and provide education and prevention of gender inequality while achieving systemic change.

This 30-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. The Elizabeth Fry Society of Northwestern Ontario will achieve this by performing a local and regional systemic needs assessment of effective decarceration strategies; creating a Northwestern Ontario Feminist Justice Network; fostering relationships with Indigenous communities and partners, establishing effective decarceration outcomes for chronically under-resourced women across Northwestern Ontario through consultation, dissemination, and education; as well as performing ongoing assessments, evaluating the project and creating implementation plans.

At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices, increasing networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, and supporting positive distribution of authority, voices, and decision-making power to support women’s equality.

This organization is a member of the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies and the Canadian Elizabeth Fry Society of Ontario, which allows them to have the provincial and national support required to advocate for the systemic change required. This project will onboard and target a wide cross-section of partners to expand their network and support their cause, allowing the greatest impact towards their goal.

This 30-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. Elizabeth Fry Toronto will achieve this by holding consultations with key stakeholders, formalizing partnerships to establish a multi-sectoral network, facilitating peer leadership development and engagement from women with lived expertise, holding network meetings and one-on-one consultations, conducting developmental evaluations, and leading the dissemination of key learnings and recommendations.
At the end of the project, Elizabeth Fry Toronto will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by increasing networks and collaborations to accelerate systemic change, and supporting the positive distribution of authority, voices, and decision-making power to support women’s equality.
This project will bring together a network of multi-sectoral partners, including diverse women peer leaders with lived expertise, to address gaps and barriers, implement strategies, and develop pathways to improve the economic security and prosperity for women who have been in conflict with the law, as part of an inclusive feminist recovery.
