This 30-month project will develop, pilot, deliver and expand the BraveSpaces Public Education curriculum to address the root causes of gender-based violence. Embrave Agency to End Violence will achieve this by developing the BraveSpaces Public Education curriculum with a focus on the institutions of criminal justice, policing systems, healthcare, psychiatry, clinical mental health, systems of work and labour, piloting workshops and education resources among internal staff and members of the Systems Integration Working Group of the Peel Committee Against Woman Abuse, delivering a public education program to community members and service providers, and expanding the curriculum.

At the end of the project, the organization will have built systemic understanding of gender-based violence, standardized knowledge across the violence against women and social services sectors, reduced barriers, improved community access to information, education and learning, and created a shared knowledge base to coordinate and mobilize sector-wide initiatives, hereby advancing inclusive policies and practices, supported positive distribution of authority, voice, decision-making and resources, and developed networks and collaborations.

The effectiveness of these initiatives will be documented throughout all stages of the project (community collaboration, curriculum design, and delivery) by an external project evaluator.

This 30-month project will promote a feminist response to and recovery from the current impact of COVID-19 through systemic change. To achieve this, the Fédération des agricultrices du Québec plans to: analyze systemic barriers and initiate concrete actions to address persistent issues that limit women’s involvement in agricultural bodies; meet with local and specialized unions affiliated with the Union des Producteurs agricoles to understand their specific needs in terms of the systemic changes needed to achieve gender diversity; create interactive tools to raise awareness among current administrators concerning the systemic barriers and persistent stereotypes confronting women; adopt an action plan on diversity and gender to ensure that the actions identified are sustainable; and communicate the issues faced by women by collaborating with regional issue tables.

At the end of the project, the organization will have helped address systemic barriers by promoting inclusive policies and practices, by expanding networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, by supporting a positive division of power, the right to speak and decision-making authority, and by changing persistent and harmful gender norms and attitudes in support of women’s equality.

This 30-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. Fresh Start Services for Women Inc. will achieve this by engaging partners, collecting data, conducting a Policy Review and drafting and publishing a Policy Report.

At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices, increasing networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, addressing persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes and encouraging more equitable and effective sharing of resources to support women’s equality.

Partner organizations, women and gender diverse individuals facing homelessness will be involved in this project to share their knowledge and experience on economic security for women in New Brunswick. Over the course of this project, Fresh Start Services for Women Inc. will establish a close partnership with the Government of New Brunswick and stakeholders to help raise awareness of the lack of affordable housing in New Brunswick.

This 30-month project will develop and implement country-wide, collaborative systemic advocacy on gender-based violence and access to justice by addressing barriers within the Canadian legal system to address the root causes of gender-based violence.

This 30-month project will develop and implement culturally sensitive prevention focused initiatives to combat gender-based violence, engage men and boys as allies to combat harmful gender norms and attitudes, and engage women with lived experience to influence pandemic recovery responses.

This 30-month project will develop and implement partnerships and collaborative networks, thereby advancing gender equity and recovery from COVID-19 impacts and preexisting systems of oppression, to address the root causes of gender-based violence.

This 30-month project will develop and implement, pilot and disseminate tools and strategies to support services providers working with women to mitigate barriers, privacy and security risks posed by the digitization of services in an effort to address the root causes of gender-based violence. The North York Women's Resource Centre will achieve this by engaging community partners to develop, pilot and disseminate a toolkit to increase the awareness among service providers and their clients about the risks posed by the delivery of digital services, while also providing training and recommendation of policies and procedures to minimize potential barriers and risks.
At the end of the project, the organization will have developed a promising practice that
increased networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, and advanced inclusive
policies and practices.
This project will engage with service providers in each component of the project, strengthening the partnership among organizations who support the needs of women experiencing intersecting inequalities. Ultimately the project results will be sustained through the creation of a community of practice of service providers that will adopt the developed toolkit.

improve policies and protocols to provide Human Traffic victims and survivors with appropriate, non-discriminatory and trauma informed healthcare, to address the root causes of gender-based violence.
