This project focuses on the impact of temperature increase on the marine phytoplankton and their associated communities. The effects of Sea Surface Temperature (SST) increase and Marine Heat Wave (MHW) events on the plankton communities will be experimentally studied and compared to a detailed time-series of phytoplankton and microbial community composition acquired from environmental DNA (eDNA) since 2014. A novel focus to time-series observations will provide detailed
knowledge of the key species (ranging from microbe to metazoans) associated with dominant phytoplankton species within the NWA ecosystem. The potential effect of MHW on the natural communities of phytoplankton of a coastal ecosystem in manipulative incubations of water samples at ambient and elevated temperatures. Novel phytoplankton species will be isolated and cultivated in the laboratory and used for manipulative temperature shift experiments.

The firm is developing an enhanced Stakeholder Engagement module with automated prioritization and insights to operate alongside existing modules on its proprietary NetBenefit software platform.

The Nanostics project involves validation of novel biomarkers for ClarityDx Prostate, a prostate cancer diagnostic test that significantly improves the standard of care for prostate cancer from a standard blood draw.

Harnessing the power of electric fields in an approach called Resonant Capacitive Coupling, Solace Power released its first product based on this technology in 2018. The firm has since invested in strengthening the platform to make it suitable for magnetic and electric field power transfer and developed a capability called High-Frequency Induction, which broadens market applicability. The project's intent is to improve on aspects of the technology to address market demands and develop and implement quality and test systems and to produce a next-generation prototype that can be released for manufacturing. This third generation modular platform will serve to address requirements for several product-market combinations, primarily in the auto and telecom markets.

The young graduate is expected to assist in the management, implementation, deployment and reporting of online marketing campaigns. In her role, she will work as a key point of contact for clients, answering queries, providing technical advice and demonstrating how to use new products and/or services.

Trial of idQ platform for health services delivery at pharmacies.

The development of a low cost and discrete wearable ArmBand IoT Device and accompanying Application to continuously monitor and record Body Core Temperature, Heart Rate and Oxygen Level of an individual in any location and report it wirelessly for 100’s of meters in dense urban settings or kilometers in sub-urban and urban settings, with a 4+ month battery life.

Development of a fully integrated delivery and control system of a state-of-the-art heat exchanger using solid state Thermovoltaic (thermoelectric) technology for efficient, commercial power generation from industrial waste heat sources.

Development of an intracellular RNA delivery tool using the Feldan Shuttle, a novel peptide-based delivery platform.

3D bioprinting enables the generation of human tissue models for screening potential drug targets in a more relevant fashion compared to animal models. This project is to perform the market research on what would be desirable features for the bioink capable of printing human cardiac tissues along with the initial R&D for this product.
