The project provides a recent computer science graduate with a career opportunity in full-stack software development and cloud computing. The youth will assist with building a web application portal for bioinformatics data management.

The proposed project targets the quantification of nutrients in soil using newly available mobile near infrared (NIR) sensors coupled with cloud-based support in the form of data processing, machine learning and spectral matching algorithms/libraries. Development work includes integration of NIR sensors from multiple hardware vendors into a common platform that supports location, soil type and device-specific calibrations/analysis. Field testing with partners includes two pilots that are located at (1) a Northern Alberta wellsite being reclaimed and (2) numerous cropland locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Development of marketing strategies to grow into international markets

Develop and test a new model for supplying fresh tea leaves to Millennia Tea from overseas, using Millennia’s patented technology and innovative business model. This proposed project will also investigate the possibility of a Canadian co-packer, the development and testing of biodegradable packaging and oversee the commercialization of two (2) new innovation SKUs. Research and analysis will also be done to test Millennia Tea’s export readiness and prepare for its first export sales.

ZIM - Biodegradable Mini Suture Anchors project with German partner Biotrics Bioimplants AG to design and development of a biodegradable surface coated Mini Suture Anchor for the treatment and repair of soft-tissue injuries.

We are hiring a Youth Intern (Software Developer) to assist in the development of our industrial safety contactless software. This project will start early June and run until February 2021. This will include: Front end/backend software development and dev ops, coding using Django framework, bootstrap, Postgresql, JavaScript languages. Assist with website and marketing support as well.
