The objectives of the Program are to; support the development and utilization of effective approaches to address social issues and challenges;
develop, exchange and apply knowledge, tools and resources that address social needs of individuals, families and communities; foster partnerships and networks to address existing and emerging social issues; recognize and support the ability of not-for-profit organizations to identify and address social development priorities; and, recognize and promote community engagement initiatives (e.g. volunteerism, corporate social responsibility, innovation, partnerships, coalitions) that mobilize community assets and develop capacities and resources for action.

The objective of this project is to quantify the pre/post-eruptive metal and volatile content, oxygen fugacity, temperature and sulfide saturation states of volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS)-related volcanic liquids in the Kidd Creek and Doyon-Bousquet-LaRonde mining camps, with an aim to identify differences in magmatic parameters that may have led to different VMS endowments and metal tenors.

The objective of this project is to establish the structural controls on alkalic porphyry Cu-Au localization and emplacement by reconstructing the Late Triassic Galore Creek Cu-Au alkalic porphyry deposit (northwestern British Columbia) by restoring post-emplacement deformation.

The objective of this project is to determine the source controls on Tungsten mineralization in the MacKenzie Mountains and integrate them in the context of world class districts by determining the relationship between Tungsten mineralization, local intrusives and potential melt sources, and characterizing the basement underlying the Tungsten belt.

The goal of this Project is to enable UAS platforms such as drones to perform inspection, monitoring and modeling of the state of critical infrastructure and superstructures in the BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) mode, safely from a remote location. This will involve developing a threat detection and collision avoidance system that will provide the critical capability for BVLOS navigation of multiple drones to and around an infrastructure / superstructure target. In addition, the Project will develop an AI-enabled computer vision and photogrammetry system to enable the development of high-precision inspection, mapping and automatic condition assessments. The Project will also develop the software tools required for defect/anomaly detection as a result of conducting scans of infrastructure / superstructure targets.

The Data Scientist will develop the foundation of the data analysis system for the firm. This includes extraction, database storage, analysis, and interpretation of extracted data when using the firm's solutions.

The project aim is to develop a tested and repeatable protocol for concussion release using Matrix Repatterning and PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy) using measurable metrics of industry software based on patient responses, followed by equipment development to deliver this treatment protocol.

The Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) are meant to nurture the interest of the students and fully develop their potential for a research career in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage students to undertake graduate studies in these fields. Students who would like to gain research experience in an academic setting, these awards can provide financial support through the hosting university.
