The Project, a collaboration between the NRC and NORAM Electrolysis Systems Inc. (NESI) includes three work scopes. The NRC will provide NESI with a Lithium rich brine produced via two lithium extraction processes, a solvent-based approach and a Lithium leaching approach. NESI will process the Lithium streams using NESI's proprietary electrolysis and pre-treatment technologies. Then, NESI will take the electrochemical cell products and further process them by evaporation crystallization and other concentration and purification methods to form a battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate (LHM), a sulfuric acid stream, and a salt recycle stream. NESI will analyze the LHM and acid product and provide an impurity profile. Based on dialogue with NESI and results produced throughout the Project, the NRC will provide novel membrane composite materials for use in the NESI electrolysis cells. NESI will perform electrolysis with the novel membrane composites to quantify process improvements resulting from the novel membranes.

The network analyzer device intent is to be designed to support troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance improvement of high-speed networked systems. It consists of a hardware interface, a host computer, and associated firmware/software tools.

The system operates as a node within the network and observes network activity during normal operation. Its purpose is to provide visibility into overall network behavior, system status, message activity, and diagnostic information. Key capabilities may include network monitoring, health reporting, message inspection, logging for debugging, and automated test support.

The project will support commercialization and sales growth of new products across multiple sales channels. This will create an exciting career opportunity for a new graduate to learn product development, sales and business growth strategies.

The selected candidate will support the development of an AI‑based adaptive examination system by conducting statistical analysis, assisting in AI model development, and contributing to data-driven improvements in the system’s adaptive assessment capabilities.

LCO Technologies is developing a high-powered, high-pressure, energy-efficient instrument air compressor and vapour recovery unit (VRU) for large-scale and remote oil and gas operations. Building on the proven CROSSFIRE platform, the project aims to deliver a compact, commercial-ready system with improved reliability, reduced maintenance, and up to 30% greater energy efficiency than current market alternatives. The technology is intended to reduce emissions, lower operating costs, and fill a market gap between small-scale and traditional rotary compressor systems while supporting safer and more sustainable field operations.

The purpose of this project is to provide RideFlag’s senior designers with support on two upcoming projects that will include a new, all-in-one commuter platform that goes beyond just HOV verification but encompasses a multitude of plug-ins requested by the clients of these projects that would be made available to end-users of the mobile application. In addition to designing these screens, the intern will work directly with clients to gain feedback on designs, and then test the function of said designs and flows under numerous circumstances prior to launch.
