About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Workplace Sexual Harassment Resources and Training Using an Indigenous Lens in Industrial Camps in British Columbia

This project will work to address workplace sexual harassment in industrial camps in British Columbia. The organization will work with key stakeholders to develop and adapt existing workplace sexual harassment resources and training to add an Indigenous lens and cultural competency component. These resources will be utilized in the context of educating and training employees working in the male-dominated industrial camps in BC and in Indigenous communities where these camps are located.

Online Training for Family Justice Workers

This project includes the organization and provision of virtual training for Francophone stakeholders in Canada’s justice system (outside Quebec). This training will provide relevant information on the impact of family violence in the application of family law with respect to screening, intervention and parenting plans. The training will last one day and will include legal information sessions led by family law experts.

This project contributes to the deployment of Canadian personnel to support the work of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and Support Programme for Ukraine and the European Union's Mission in Armenia. This project supports the deployment of Canadian experts on the ground to play specific roles in these missions. Project activities include: (1) managing deployee recruitment and screening process; (2) providing gender-sensitive pre-deployment training; and (3) providing duty-of-care administration and support throughout the deployment period.
