Grants and Contributions

The President’s Fund grants are intended to:

support organizations and initiatives whose goal is consistent with CIHR’s vision, mandate and strategic directions;
provide financial assistance for events that will increase CIHR’s visibility such as conferences, workshops or other events where the objectives of the event align with the interests of CIHR overall and not individual Institutes;
provide special, one-time grants to support health research activities where the request falls outside of CIHR’s regular funding programs.

The work consists of changing the 4 entrance doors and 6 balcony doors. Improving the insulation and energy efficiency of the building by adding thermally insulated wool in the warping of the door frames that will be replaced.be changed.

The objective of this project is to showcase outstanding young farmers (ages 18-39) who exemplify excellence in Canadian agriculture, by hosting regional and national recognition events and to share Canadian agriculture excellence with the world through outreach and communication tools.

The objective of this project aims to capture the current agricultural activities and interests of First Nations people and communities and to identify resources and actions needed to support agricultural development.

A 5-year agreement to continue its role in the delivery of the Entrepreneurship and Business Development stream of CanNor’s Northern Aboriginal Economic Opportunities Program (NAEOP) for the Qikiqtani region of Nunavut.

To increase community capacity for, awareness of, and involvement in conservation, protection and restoration of Canadian Pacific salmon stocks to achieve healthy, sustainable and naturally diverse stocks and habitat.

The purpose of the Indigenous Habitat Participation Program and the Salish Sea Initiative, is to support the participation of Indigenous peoples in activities relating to the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat, including the development of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans’ (DFO) policies, program elements and regulations and the development of their technical capacity to support greater involvement in the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat.

The purpose of the program is to provide support to organizations that undertake projects that that contribute to the development and implementation of coastal zone plans, identify restoration priorities, implement projects, and address threats to marine species located on Canada's Coasts. The program would contribute to the mitigation of stressors affecting aquatic habitats and marine life, and would engage Indigenous groups, resource users, and local groups and communities in undertaking planning, restoration, capacity building, monitoring, and reporting activities.
