About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

The road networks in Canada are expected to serve the demand for truck transportation in widely varying geographic and climatic conditions, and are prone to risks and hazards that can disrupt supply chain fluidity. The research Project has two main goals: (1) Producing uniquely Canadian logistics data sets through the deployment of a leading-edge mobile truck traffic and road-weather monitoring facility, and (2) developing and applying a novel methodological framework to evaluate the impact of disruptions due to risk hazards on the performance of the road freight transport network and its supporting infrastructure.

Foundations: CPATH Capacity Building Project

This 13-month project will strengthen the capacity and networks of the Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health (CPATH) to advance trans, gender diverse and Two-Spirit equality. This will be achieved by building organizational infrastructure, increasing board capacity and updating the strategic plan to increase internal capacity and support sustainability; and by offering collaborative opportunities for network-building via committees and engagement plans to enhance membership and community engagement. This project will prioritize engagement of racialized and less privileged voices in trans communities, and support community co-planning and involvement.
The supplemental funding will be used to hire a consultant to produce an accessible multi-media knowledge vessel that includes representations relevant to CPATH's WAGE project goals of enhancing community capacity specifically with 2Spirit, Afro-Indigenous, Black and racialized trans and gender diverse communities.
