This CEMWorks project is part of a CELTIC project 2019/2-5 led by InterDigital of the U.K. The Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Outputs Systems (AIMM) project is designed to implement practical test beds based on off-the-shelf software radio technology to target radical performance improvements in existing 5G networks through higher-order massive MIMO setups powered through advancements in AI. CEMWorks role will be to develop a simulation tool for virtual prototyping of 5G Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems. This solution features novel algorithms that will enable new capabilities and significant cost reductions of next-generation 5G/6G network and equipment design.

Harris Beta will utilize unmanned and autonomous carrier platforms equipped with Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and advanced scanning technologies to perform precision surveys in conjunction with artificial intelligence. This project will be a substantial foray in adopting AI in high-value survey projects.

The salmon farming industry is currently using an inefficient process to handle the movement of fish, causing poor fish health and resulting in reduced yield and higher costs. The patent pending VSI System will provide significant improvement to the movement of fish throughout the lifecycle of the fish farming process. The VSI system provides a more natural environment to encourage fish movement, which results in healthier fish, improved yield, and is less labor intensive, which will benefit the operator and aquaculture industry as a whole.

PENTA project 20008 AI-SEE led by Mercedes-Benz (Germany)
This project encompasses Algolux’s contribution to the AI-SEE Eureka PENTA-EURIPIDES2 Cluster project to provide technology and expertise in the areas of deep learning AI algorithms and the fusion of data from distinct sensor types, thereby enabling a more robust perception platform to enable automated driving in all visibility and weather conditions.

Canadian Collaboration Project - ADISC - with consortium partners Qohash inc. and Securicy Data Solutions Ltd. is creating a new service that automates data inventories of unstructured data sources and collects evidence of data privacy regulation compliance.

The purpose of this CanExport Innovation agreement is to support Canadian organizations to carry out activities related to pursuing opportunities that would lead to establishing new collaborative Research and Development (R&D) partnerships between the Recipient and foreign organizations in order to support R&D on the Recipient’s technology and advance its commercialization.

The objective is to invest in targeted COVID priority research areas from the Fall 2020 Project Grant competition such as vaccine hesitancy, pregnant women and children, racialized populations, Indigenous, confidence in science and SARS-CoV-2 variants.

The objectives of Stream 1 are:
•Accelerate rapid research on SARS-CoV-2 variants in Canada to contribute to the national and global efforts to address SARS-CoV-2 variants; and
•Generate timely evidence on SARS-CoV-2 variants that will show impact within 3-6 months and is relevant to biological, clinical, health system, and public health strategies.

Stream 1 applicants are strongly encouraged to consider maximizing impact by outlining how they intend to participate in:
1.The formation of a network (Stream 2) or participating in a network formed by another NPA (Stream 2); and,
2.The CIHR Network for Emerging Variants Research once established.
