The project will focus on the development of product-based architectural design principles for innovative mass timber construction systems.

AltoMaxx has recently signed an agreement with Dr. Ian Gates from the University of Calgary’s Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and Tourmaline Oil (Tourmaline) “to study emissions testing and methane emissions reduction.”

The candidate will be AltoMaxx’s technical representative for the project.

The candidate will conduct drone-based methane testing using various payloads at:
1) University of Calgary’s Laboratory, and
2) Tourmaline’s gas plant, wellsite facilities, and D&C operations.

In addition to working on the above project, the candidate will be AltoMaxx's technical representative in the commercialization of their drone-based fugitive emissions service.

They will become proficient in programming principles, practices, and rigors for security-certified solutions well beyond academic learning.

ITRAK 365 is an in-house developed QHSE software solution built on the Microsoft Power Platform. It is currently in the scale up phase of its business. With focus on extending platform functions, the development team is experiencing pressure on their capacity to continue advancing and improving the software versions in parallel to developing new concepts and ideas to integrate. As demand in the QHSE software market grows, given government restrictions/regulations and the recent COVID-19 pandemic, ITRAK is keen to expand its already strong development team and obtain long-term skillful individuals. ITRAK is looking to add a Junior Developer to relieve capacity restraint and contribute to the overall success of the ITRAK software solution.

The project objective is to use current and available acoustic research with sound level measurements and create automated processes for collecting, analysing, and creating engineering insights from the data.

We are looking for an individual who can collaborate with engineering to implement an improved Quality Assurance process. The candidate will not only implement the process, but also play an active role in it.

The goal of this project is to explore different non-viral technologies for precision targeting of gene therapies that could be deployed for different molecular targets and diseases. These include electroporation, lipid/liposomal nanoparticles, and cationic polymer nanoparticles. These methods will be tested for their suitability to integrate with immunotherapy, and one will be down-selected for value with microfluidics at the end of this project.

Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes that demonstrate cytotoxic activity towards cancer cells and are associated with good prognosis when present in solid tumors. In the past, NK cells have been used in adoptive cell transfer to treat various cancer with relative success. More recently, NK cells, modified with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR-NK cells), are being explored as potential off-the-shelf therapy and these have shown better efficacy and lower toxicity than equivalent CAR-T cells in pre-clinical animal models. However, mechanisms preventing the full cytotoxic anti-tumor activity of NK cells remain understudied. Hence, this project seeks to use whole-genome CRISPR screens in both NK and solid tumor cells to identify genes that, when inhibited, potentiate the cytotoxic activity of NK cells towards cancer cells. In turn, these genes will be therapeutically targeted or genetically modified in future iPSC-derived NK and CAR-NK cells to improve outcome in cancer patients.

The goal of this project is to create a VR proof of concept prototype for i-5O to prove that virtual reality can be used to simulate movement in a production environment.

The essence of this project is to support operational and manufacturing scaling, along with technical developments to enable Huna’s portfolio and exportation expansion which will deliver on Huna’s corporate growth goals.
