Using both internal resources and external consultant(s) to review our capabilities and CDN defense requirements, looking for the best match and eventually be able to offer custom or current products while maintaining manufacturing within Canada. Supply CDN Military with products for current facilities within Canada and potentially for deployment internationally.

This project will assess the defence readiness potential of the firm’s remote monitoring technology. The work will examine relevant defence-sector needs, customer segments, procurement pathways, compliance requirements, and commercialization opportunities in Canada and allied markets. It will also develop proof-of-value materials and define a roadmap for market entry, partnership development, and future procurement readiness.

In this project, Valence Water will conduct a gap analysis to evaluate the opportunities for using its industrial, electro-oxidation reactor system to support defence related water treatment applications, and to determine what changes to the system design are required to achieve the goals and challenges that are specific to these defence applications.

Quantum networks work best when devices exchange quantum information directly without classical conversion. The Project will study free‑space quantum networking across fixed and mobile platforms. Current quantum‑secure links using low‑flux entangled photons have limited range and rate; a new method enabling secure links at all laser flux levels aims to extend both while preserving quantum information. Custom quantum transmitters and receivers emulating squeezed light will be developed, optimized, and tested across ground and ground‑to‑airborne links using NRC’s ARTEMIS facility. System performance & stability will be studied and atmospheric effects will be evaluated through scintillometry using the ARTEMIS beam path. Although 1550 nm links cannot enetrate cloud, distributed ground stations can maintain satellite connectivity through remote clear‑sky regions. Optiwave will contribute system modeling and a novel security method, uOttawa will model atmospheric effects and provide expert staff and students and NRC provides advanced quantum‑laser expertise.

This project will advance Canadian priorities in Arctic surveillance, autonomous systems, and advanced sensing by adapting and enhancing commercial off-the-shelf electro-optical infrared (EO/IR) camera systems for defence applications. Public funding will be used to assess defence requirements, plan technical upgrades, and pursue necessary certifications. Through the expansion of domestic manufacturing, the project will contribute to skilled employment and reinforce Canada’s sovereign capability.

The primary goal of this project is to accelerate firm’s progress toward achieving Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CPCSC) Level 2 compliance by Spring 2027. Achieving this certification is a mandatory prerequisite for eligibility within Canadian Forces procurement processes and a recognized standard across NATO member nations.

The project will focus on the strategic integration of advanced anti-corrosion coating technology into the defence sector, with the primary objective of extending the performance and lifetime of respective critical metal marine assets.

This project will advance the deployment readiness of a decision intelligence platform for use in mission-critical environments.

This project will prepare a Canadian AI-enabled training and simulation platform for engagement in dual-use applications by strengthening market, procurement, and security readiness.
