Title: Mixed Relevant Features Analysis for Deep Learning Ship Detection in RADARSAT Constellation Mission Data

Incorporate RADARSAT Constellation Mission data into an existing AI-enabled Amari platform for automated ship detection.

This project proposes the development of AI-based tools for the identification and monitoring of environment dynamics, their effect on a remote robotic platform behavior, and the adaptation of the latter to maintain stability and performance. The AI tools that will be developed during this project will contribute to increasing the level of autonomy of aerial cargo systems by providing adaptability to unknown and changing environment conditions (related to both remote site and human operator). By monitoring system behavior, these AI tools will also contribute to optimizing the dynamic response of these cargo systems during operation, thereby maximizing safety and reliability. The implementation and validation of these tools using digital twins and virtual environments will also bring the capacity for planning new operations, training and system robustness evaluation in the presence of unknown and changing conditions.

This project is to support the Recipient in realigning program activities that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The candidate will work on implementation of a magnetron sputtering system designed for uniform deposition of a thin dielectric coating for ultra rapid memory modules. He will simulated the deposition control process and will provide an algorithm for its control system.

To develop a LFIA based SARS-COV-2 Antigen Point-of-Care (POCT) Test to detect SARS-CoV-2 virus from nasopharyngeal swab samples, nasal swab samples or saliva samples collected from patients post symptom onset within the first 7days with sensitivity>95%, specificity>98%, designed for point of care use.

The project aims to demonstrate to a potential client in the mining sector the effectiveness and relevance of new surge protection equipment in order to reduce maintenance, avoid premature aging and destruction of equipment installed on a power grid downstream of the protector. The project is supported by an initiative of the NRC-IRAP Mining Sector Team.

The Software Developer Intern at MetricAid will be expected to perform the following tasks in MetricAid’s code base:

• Supporting development and maintenance of code, focussing on client-retention features and updates
• Participate in planning and designing of new features or updates
• Learning about finding and fixing bugs in a code base
• Learning about designing client-facing features through proper UX/UI
• Supporting the development team through performing tests and recording the results
• Learning about participating in project management and working collaboratively on a development team

These tasks will be focused on the physician scheduling portal’s web application and mobile application.
The intern can expect to be guided and supervised by the senior development employees, as well as being gradually introduced to more independent work.

Dimachem proposes to work with NRC on a website SEO project which includes selecting and hiring an SEO consultant and a Content Marketing consultant to assist us with our new website SEO optimization, specifically focused on our industrial and toll manufacturing business areas.

This project will take the Home Renewable Energy System Storage Inverter (HRES-SI) component from concept to the first stage of physical prototype; including initial modeling.
