P008522001: This project aims to improve the nutritional status of children under five years old and pregnant and lactating women in the Kayes and Sikasso regions.
The project will address three major causes of chronic malnutrition: access to adequate care, healthy environment and appropriate nutrition. Project activities include: 1) developing and implementing behavioural change strategies with communities to promote access to sexual and reproductive health services for women and adolescent girls; 2) training approximately 150 health workers (including 66% of women) in sexual and reproductive health, family planning, early childhood food and nutrition, and respect for the rights of women and adolescent girls; 3) rehabilitating or building approximately 40 water points and 60 family or school latrines, taking into account the specific needs of women and girls; 4) providing women's groups with inputs and equipment for processing, storing and marketing high nutritional value products.

The project aims to benefit an estimated 728,000 people, including 52.7 % women and adolescent girls and 46.9 % children under five years of age, and indirectly benefit the entire population of the four target districts, i.e. more than 2,088,000 people.

P008522002: This project aims to strengthen the capacity of health structures to plan and implement a response plan to epidemics, including to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Project activities include: (1) providing technical support to approximately 150 health structures to develop or update epidemic management plans, including the response to that of COVID-19, that take into account the specific needs of women, girls and boys; (2) providing materials to these health structures to respond to epidemics, including urgent needs identified in relation to COVID-19.

This project brings additional funding to the projet "Supporting the Integrated Fight Against Chronic Malnutrition in Mali" in response to COVID-19

This project aims to improve the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services available to the most vulnerable adolescent girls and women in Benin, Burkina Faso, and Mali. Project activities include: (1) supporting the financial autonomy of vulnerable and marginalized women and adolescent girls in order to reduce the economic and gender barriers to SRH services; (2) providing training to health care providers and administrators of health-care facilities on the provision of gender-responsive and adolescent-friendly SRH services; (3) providing technical and material assistance to women’s and adolescent girls’ rights organizations and defenders; and (4) providing equipment (including water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure) to health-care facilities. The project expects to benefit approximately 2 million vulnerable women and adolescent girls across the three countries. This project works in partnership with Lawyers Without Border Canada and SOCODEVI (Société de coopération pour le développement international).

The project is mostly related to conducting a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study to focus on the technical requirements as well as financial and regulatory aspects and permitting requirements to execute a demonstration project in a specific remote community.

The objectives of the Program are to; support the development and utilization of effective approaches to address social issues and challenges; develop, exchange and apply knowledge, tools and resources that address social needs of individuals, families and communities; foster partnerships and networks to address existing and emerging social issues; recognize and support the ability of not-for-profit organizations to identify and address social development priorities; and, recognize and promote community engagement initiatives (e.g. volunteerism, corporate social responsibility, innovation, partnerships, coalitions) that mobilize community assets and develop capacities and resources for action.

: Project funding in support of the Indigenous Courtwork Program 2020/2021 (hereinafter referred to as the "project") will provide much needed support for Indigenous Courtworkers to carry out their duties. In response to COVID-19 pandemic challenges, this project will address technological and operational or training needs in support of increasing the capacity and supporting the safety and well-being of Indigenous Courtworkers and their clients.

Project funding in support of the Indigenous Courtwork Program 2020/2021 will provide much needed support for Indigenous Courtworkers to carry out their duties.
