This project is focused on increasing local understanding and awareness of the “Red Flag” Laws among Indigenous Peoples in the District of Temiskaming through: training of all staff, workshops, and development of resources (brochures and information packages). The project will target the key audiences of rural, Indigenous Peoples with an emphasis on women and youth.

Collaboration with legal professionals, mental health organizations, newcomer support centers, 2SLGBTQI+ and disability advocacy groups, along with consultation with survivors, ensures inclusive and effective outreach across Saskatchewan, with the ultimate goal of creating a safer, more secure, and resilient Canadian society.

The objective of this project is to support the 5th meeting of the International Cold Forest Research Laboratory. The meeting will focus on the resilience of northern ecosystems in the face of past and present climate disturbances, and on strengthening the links between scientific research and Indigenous knowledge.

The conference will convene foreign policy officials, National Authorities of the CWC and BTWC and chem/bio security and non-proliferation experts from around Latin America, as well as organizations that assist in chemical and biological security capacity building such as UNODA, UNLIREC and CICTE/OAS.

Through a dynamic agenda of keynote addresses, high-level panels, practitioner workshops, and peer-learning sessions, the Summit will provide a unique opportunity for participating officials to: Share local innovations in prevention and safeguarding social cohesion; Engage in in-depth discussion on strengthening national-local coordination; Explore inclusive responses to online hate and digital radicalisation; and Connect with peers, civil society actors, and international institutions to build sustained partnerships.

This key resource will accelerate the transition to market, maximize organizational efficiency, and ensure the firm’s international growth.

It includes the integration of a specialized resource to assess technological needs and strengthen internal capabilities, with a view to improving the experience offered to customers and partners.

Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program - MARP - Events

This project consists of a conference bringing together international experts and emerging researchers to discuss key issues concerning North American defence architecture, the Canadian defence industry, and strategic relations with allies, in the context of US threats to Canadian sovereignty.

This project will advance the use of additively manufactured functionally graded materials (FGMs) for space mobility applications, focusing on liquid propulsion systems for reusable launch vehicles and spacecraft. The research is crucial for enhancing Canada's space industry capabilities and competitiveness in the global market. The project's main objectives include investigating FGM properties, optimizing additive manufacturing techniques, designing and fabricating key engine components, and conducting empirical hot fire tests to validate the improvements. Expected outcomes include improved engine performance and significantly reduced manufacturing time and costs, leading to a much more competitive space propulsion engine to commercialize on the global market. Benefits to the Canada include job creation of 30-40 highly qualified personnel hired within 5 years post-project. The project will strengthen Canada's expertise in advanced materials and manufacturing for space applications, leading to technology transfer in other sectors such as aerospace, energy, and automotive industries.
