The proposed project is to develop and test remote sensing site specific field management technologies. It will be done with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles, sensors, and analytical software that will all work together to assess wild blueberry fields for plant coverage, canopy density and health. The analysis will also be used to generate site specific prescription maps that will be uploaded and used in self-propelled sprayers equipped with individual nozzle control (INC) which will allow for precise delivery of agrochemicals to the intended and prescribed areas of fields, reducing spray overlaps and non-target applications

The purpose of the funding will be to support a feasibility assessment and detailed engineering design for the expansion of Therapure’s current mammalian cell culture (MCC) capacity in support of VBI’s coronavirus vaccine as well as other MCC projects and coronavirus vaccines that require insect cell/baculovirus expression systems and potentially adeno viral vectors. The two areas at Therapure’s current biomanufacturing facility that will be assessed to support pandemic vaccine manufacturing:

•Existing space within the facility
•Extension of the existing space with access to some of the existing utilities and all other systems such as Quality, Project Management, Finance and IT

The Rubic is developing a new piece of machinery that uses Innovative Mechatronics systems combined with AI-based motion planning and gripping solutions. The Rubic solution addresses the COVID-19 concern for distribution centers.

The proposed project is for the development and validation of locally manufactured PAPR hoods for use in a healthcare setting. PAPR represents a significant improvement to the current standard of PPE for health care providers operating in high risk scenarios and provides heightened protection during the Covid-19 pandemic and for future viral outbreaks.
