Working Capital: In the context of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the project aims to ensure the continuity of operations of a company that specializes in commercial kitchen energy management.

The purpose of the program is to provide support to organizations that undertake projects that that contribute to the development and implementation of coastal zone plans, identify restoration priorities, implement projects, and address threats to marine species located on Canada’s Coasts. The program would contribute to the mitigation of stressors affecting aquatic habitats and marine life, and would engage Indigenous groups, resource users, and local groups and communities in undertaking planning, restoration, capacity building, monitoring, and reporting activities.

The purpose of this program is to enhance salmon, their habitat and through public education, stewardship and engagement contribute to ecosystem health and economic productivity.

Canada's Fisheries Fund will transform and drive innovation in the fish and seafood sector in Canada with a focus on developing the sector to better meet growing market demands for sustainably sourced, high-quality fish and seafood products.

DNA aptamers, small sequences of single-stranded DNA, may be used for biological sensing, cell therapies, immunotherapy, alternatives to antibodies in therapies, etc. They are small, highly stable, and once designed, they can be reproduced in unlimited exact copies. However, the process by which aptamers are designed is time-consuming and expensive (e.g. SELEX) and extensive optimisation is needed to tune their binding characteristics and improve specificity. To address these
challenges, artificial intelligence (AI) methods will be developed to augment and speed up aptamer design. The Project will develop AI capabilities with broad utility across a range of cell and gene (CGT) therapy research objectives in future years of the Disruptive Technology Solutions for Cell and Gene Therapy challenge program. In the near term the Project will leverage a dataset of approximately 1000 aptamers being synthesized as candidates for a COVID-19 sensor platform, thus giving the unique opportunity to have a large impact in mitigating the impact of the COVID pandemic.

The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
