The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) invites university students (undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels) to apply for a grant to participate in the 73rd International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2022) and in the activities organized by the International Space Education Board (ISEB), both to be hosted in Paris, France from September 17 to 23, 2022.

This project matures a suite of new mission data tools that will improve the utility of data returned from the growing range of government and commercial missions beyond earth orbit, making it more useful, accessible and valuable for the space sector of tomorrow.

The project addresses key technical & programmatic research and development areas en route to technology readiness level (TRL) 6 while validating real-world utility for the early wave of lunar exploration in accordance with the Canadian Space Agency’s (CSA’s) Lunar Exploration Acceleration Program (LEAP) objectives.

Project activities include: (1) facilitating the training of women and youth through workshops on peacebuilding techniques; (2) creating local Community Peace Hubs and regional Peace Tables that serve as peacebuilding coordination bodies; (3) supporting Mobile Peace Clinics to target hard-to-reach communities of women and men to promote awareness, education and mediation on community tensions, peacebuilding, positive masculinity, non-violent resolutions of conflict, and basic sexual and reproductive health education; (4) establishing a Peace House to train civil society organizations; and (5) conducting a multi-regional forum for Women, Peace and Security leaders to exchange best practices and lessons learned from peacebuilding work across six conflict-affected regions in Cameroon.

"My community, my participation" is a project that seeks to empower adolescents from rural and semi-rural communities through their participation as social and change agents, with youth leadership in their communities to promote LGBTIQA2+ rights and non-discrimination, through their training and accompaniment with virtual workshops, a transmedia campaign to promote rights and empowerment skills and an e-learning platform with personalised counselling

This project will build the capacity of family law practitioners within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Manitoba and BC to respond to family violence by promoting standardized assessment tools through workshops, webinars, and learning guides. The project will promote the HELP Toolkit, SAFeR (Screen, Assess, Focus and Respond), and RIA (Project Enhanced Safety: Risk Assessment Framework in Family Court).

The objective of the IRP is to improve the ability of (SPO)s to participate in the social finance market (i.e. secure a repayable investment), as well as to engage in procurement and outcomes-based funding opportunities by:.• Enabling SPOs to gain a variety of skills and competencies along the investment readiness continuum;.• Supporting the readiness of established expert services providers to provide nation-wide capacity-building services to SPOs in one or more key area along the investment readiness continuum; and.• Supporting the advancement of Canada’s SI/SF ecosystems by responding to identified system-level gaps (e.g. building the capacities of social finance intermediaries, advancing impact measurement, and supporting SI/SF awareness and knowledge mobilization)..

The WER Pilot Program will explore pre-employment, skills development supports as well as models to improve workplace inclusivity. In projects where employers are involved, the program will work with the employers to improve access to employment, or retention in the workplace to improve programming for women in target groups.
