This Project supports the Canadian community’s efforts to attract, retain and expand foreign direct investment (FDI) and is ultimately designed to strengthen the economy at the community level.

This proposal seeks funding support under the Youth Employment Program to hire a recent graduate who will assist in the definition, documentation, development and validation of engineering and compliance processes associated with the Safety Integrity Level (SIL) determination for embedded control systems. These processes will be used to inform the logic and content of our proprietary internal AI tool, which supports our engineering teams and customers in navigating the SIL workflow efficiently and accurately.

FDF Raceshop is seeking funding to support the hiring of a skilled mechanical draftsman to enhance our engineering team’s capacity to deliver high-performance automotive components for motorsport applications, driving innovation through accelerated research and development (R&D) and faster time-to-market. This funding project aims to integrate a dedicated draftsman who will produce precise technical drawings and 3D models using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, to transform engineering concepts into manufacturable designs for critical components like chassis, suspension systems, aerodynamic elements, and drivetrain parts. Lighthouse Cabinetry’s IRAP YEP project employs a Junior Marketing Coordinator to enhance social media presence for two brands, Lighthouse Cabinetry and Lighthouse Co..

The project aims to structure the marketing of rubber coating services and develop recycling of this rubber according to its technical properties. It includes prospecting, identifying outlets, and exploring markets for the recovery of residual material.

Field testing a Made-in-BC, biodegradable dust control solution that improves air quality and reduces road maintenance needs for First Nations and rural communities, municipalities, construction, and industrial users.

Development of specialized processes for scale-up of novel microbiome-based products for medical use.

The new hire will focus on product development for HappyBean’s Early Adopter Program (EAP). Working closely with the development team, they’ll support feature design, testing, and implementation to ensure the platform evolves in direct response to real user needs and is ready for full launch.

The technical resource will help to develop Saltwinds coffee roasting innovations with the aim of deploying these innovations in large scale production roasting and potentially into monetizable IP. These innovations include Saltwinds proprietary ocean air coffee infusion
process as well as Saltwinds reduced emissions roasting process. The candidate will be involved in production roasting, will carry out QA/QC as they refine the firm's roasting innovations, and will be a part of the firm's ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
