The specific objective of this funding opportunity is:
•to establish a number of ambitious, innovative, multi-disciplinary and multi-national collaborative research projects that will further advance the respective research areas.

Applications must ensure relevance to all of the following objectives:
• Establish central coordination and collaboration activities with existing clinical trials groups/networks to increase the availability of high-quality and real-time evidence and build capacity to support Canada’s rapid response to the global pandemic and health emergencies in order to better prevent, detect, treat and/or manage COVID-19;
• Establish a transparent, inclusive, multi-jurisdictional recruitment and membership process that describes benefits for and requirements and expectations of members;
• Collaborate across member networks to establish resource and data sharing policies, increase efficiencies in research and related processes (including, but not limited to ethics review; contracts; common protocols; developing applications for trial funding; consistent and valid patient-oriented outcomes), reduce duplication, and maximize research impact for COVID-19;
• Create data sharing agreements to ensure follow-up of patients through existing administrative data platforms within Canada;
• Adopt a nimble and adaptive strategy for engaging stakeholders in research prioritization and oversight while shifting studies as needed, based on new knowledge and changing COVID-19 landscape;
• Provide evidence to inform clinical and health system management and public health response, and/or decision-making and planning within and across jurisdictions in Canada and internationally; and
• Enhance local, national and/or international clinical trial collaborative efforts by aligning clinical trials networks with other COVID-19 research investments to prevent and/or mitigate the rapid spread of COVID-19 and related negative consequences.

The specific objectives of this directed grant are to support the:

• Collection of data from CLSA participants;
• Revision of the COVID-19 questionnaire as the pandemic evolves in the coming months;
• Generation of an electronic dataset that will be made available on the CLSA platform

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:

• To strengthen and create new, Canadian-led multidisciplinary collaborations among researchers working in stem cell biology, immunology and related fields to advance knowledge and technologies relevant to beta cell replacement in T1D.
• To accelerate potential stem cell-based therapies for T1D to the preclinical or clinical trial stage.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:

-Developing, testing, validating, scaling up and integrating innovative ICT solutions for ageing well into re-designed service delivery models aimed at maintaining long term “functional ability” (See Call rationale and WHO Healthy ageing definition);
-Contributing to the creation/strengthening/connection of healthy ageing ecosystems.

The objective of this funding opportunity is to support a knowledge synthesis network designed to collaborate and rapidly respond to the need for synthesized evidence across the full breadth of Canada's COVID-19 pandemic response (including public-health measures, clinical management, health-system arrangements, and economic and social impacts). Through a highly collaborative approach, the knowledge synthesis network is expected to:

-Produce rapid knowledge syntheses and associated evidence-based products (e.g., evidence profiles) related to the COVID-19 pandemic, based on current evidence and that responds to an identified evidence need;
-Provide decision-makers with high-quality, timely, accessible and relevant evidence for the rapid translation of knowledge into policy, practice and/or clinical guidelines to address the immediate response to the pandemic; and
-Address evidence gaps and build the evidence base for the response to COVID-19;
-Enhance national and international coordination across knowledge synthesis experts and organizations involved in producing COVID-19 related products.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:

• To strengthen and create new, Canadian-led multidisciplinary collaborations among researchers working in stem cell biology, immunology and related fields to advance knowledge and technologies relevant to beta cell replacement in T1D.
• To accelerate potential stem cell-based therapies for T1D to the preclinical or clinical trial stage.

The overarching goal (purpose) is to support enhancements in marine safety and marine environmental protection in Canadian waters, while embracing the concepts of co-development and sustainable economic development.

The purpose of the program is to provide support to organizations that undertake projects that that contribute to the development and implementation of coastal zone plans, identify restoration priorities, implement projects, and address threats to marine species located on Canada's Coasts. The program would contribute to the mitigation of stressors affecting aquatic habitats and marine life, and would engage Indigenous groups, resource users, and local groups and communities in undertaking planning, restoration, capacity building, monitoring, and reporting activities.

To support the participation of Indigenous peoples in activities relating to theconservation and protection of fish and fish habitat, including the development of theDepartment of Fisheries and Oceans' (DFO) policies, program elements and regulationsand the development of their technical capacity to support greater involvement in the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat.
