This includes advocacy that is undertaken online where the internet and cyberspace have become important platforms for free expression. Civil institutions’ media and human rights organizations’ websites and online communication platforms are frequently targeted and compromised by cyber-attack.

The project will utilize the PerWaves experiment that will fly on MAXUS 9 to demonstrate unambiguously, for the first time, the existence of a reactive wave propagation regime that is controlled by the discreteness of the reactive media. It is anticipated that the new technology that is developed to address these challenges will find wider application because the creation of well-characterized dust suspensions and diagnostic tools to quantify concentration and uniformity of dust in terrestrial and space-based environments is a general problem that the new capabilities deriving from this project will be able to address.

It also includes training 125 professionals at integrated care centres, where women and girls can seek legal redress and psychosocial support after experiencing violence; (2) conducting community education, outreach and mass media campaigns that will reach up to 7 million people, with information on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender-based violence; and (3) conducting advocacy campaigns to shift harmful norms and stigma related to SRHR through about 9,000 community outreach activities.

Project activities include the following: (i) delivering better family planning services and post-abortion care to more than 200,000 women and adolescent girls; (ii) raising awareness among more than 1,000,000 people through interactive radio programs or other kinds of campaigns on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender based violence (GBV); (iii) providing 465 community members, 120 female members of women’s groups, and at least 200 community health centre care providers and mobile midwives with training on SRH and GBV; (iv) training 16 district-level trainer-supervisors so as to ensure the sustainability and good governance of the health system; (v) holding sessions to lobby 150 key decision makers and policy leaders on SRH and GBV issues at the national and regional levels; and (vi) building the capacity of 20 media representatives to ensure awareness of and proper communication on the issues of gender inequality.

Project activities include: (1) delivering a transformative leadership training program for refugee and migrant leaders, including women; (2) implementing social media and communication campaigns to reduce xenophobia and promote social cohesion between migrants and host populations; (3) strengthening the capacity of refugee and migrant-led organizations to advocate for policies, programs, and practices that increase the protection of refugee and migrant rights; (4) facilitating the participation of refugee and migrant-led organizations in local, national, and regional migration forums and decision-making spaces; (5) providing grants to community-based refugee and migrant-led organizations in order to improve their service provision to displaced populations.

The publication of open-source conference proceedings as well as two op-eds will be published in major media outlets in Sri Lanka and Canada, a co-authored peer-reviewed manuscript will be submitted to a top-tier journal, and a public policy document will be created to propose a framework for food security as a core objective of Canada’s

The project seeks to advance gender equality in Pakistan by: (1) supporting the work of, and strengthening women’s rights organizations (WROs); (2) supporting capacity building in proposal development, leadership skills, media, legal frameworks pertaining to women, and on feminist monitoring, evaluation and learning; (3) providing organizational development training to select WROs based on needs identified by them; (4) providing direct grants for operational support and to facilitate the implementation and monitoring of WROs’ programs; and (5) providing responsive funding, research grants and funding for developing one national level alliance.

Project activities include: (1) providing capacity building and technical support to state institutions to establish a credible and accurate voter register, strengthen electoral dispute resolution mechanisms, and ensure a peaceful and orderly vote; (2) promoting public awareness and engagement through electoral and civic education and enhanced collaboration with the media to ensure reliable information is shared; and (3) working with state institutions, civil society organizations and independent commissions to ensure women, youth and persons with disabilities are more actively involved, engaged and represented throughout the electoral process.

This Project focuses on building awareness and implementing the Code with key stakeholders, such as investigation authorities, humanitarian actors, civil society, media, policy-makers, governments and other organizations and individuals working on information-gathering with survivors.
