Engage engineering support for a Low Carbon Fuel Oil production facility

Enhance the conservation and recovery of species at risk by supporting Indigenous communities as they acquire, develop and apply the technical resources, skills and knowledge necessary to partner in Species at Risk Act (SARA) implementation

The project forms part of Engage: Global Citizens, Global Impact, a national initiative implemented over five years (2026–2031) by the Inter-Council Network (ICN), a coalition of eight provincial and regional councils for international cooperation across Canada. Led by the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC), The initiative is designed to strengthen public support for Canada’s international development assistance priorities, including gender equality, and to encourage greater engagement of people across Canada as active global citizens through coordinated public engagement, capacity-building, policy dialogue, and youth-focused initiatives.

The project responds to the growing need for inclusive and accessible opportunities for Canadians to engage with international development issues and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Project is a national initiative delivered across eight components over six fiscal years as part of a broader effort implemented by the Inter-Council Network (ICN), a coalition of eight provincial and regional councils for international cooperation. As one component of this larger initiative, the Project strengthens public engagement on global issues and supports the contribution of people across Canada to international cooperation efforts.

The Project increases understanding of global challenges through coordinated outreach, capacity-building, and youth engagement.

The Project is a province-wide initiative implemented over five years (2026–2031) by the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC) as part of the broader Engage: Global Citizens, Global Impact program. Building on ACGC’s longstanding role in mobilizing Albertans, the Project strengthens inclusive public engagement in international cooperation and contributes to Canada’s international assistance efforts. It focuses on increasing awareness, building capacity, and expanding opportunities for action, while ensuring alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advancing gender equality.

The Project enhances understanding of global issues through a combination of youth leadership initiatives, educator programming, community engagement, and civil society capacity-building.

Ultimately, the existing building will reduce its energy consumption by over 60% and additional high-performance units will be added to the property, addressing both the housing crisis and climate crisis in one project. This model is intended to be highly replicable with an intent to implement in additional units within the OCH portfolio as well as across the private residential sector .

The Prompt Engineer will be evaluating and testing the outputs of AI models.
