Grants and Contributions

Project activities include: setting up a training program on how to use information and communication technology (ICT) as an international development tool for interns; developing and facilitating educational games in math, chemistry and physics; developing an online discussion forum every year to share best practices and tools; practical work with Canadian organizations working in the social communications, ICT, media or digital security sectors; and providing training on communications strategies in support of work on international development (governance, gender equality and environment).

This project supports investigations into alleged human rights abuses, war crimes and crimes against humanity, including sexual and gender-based violence and conflict-related violations involving children. The project works to deploy specialized experts, including forensics investigators, children's rights specialists, gender experts, specially trained translators and criminal investigators.

Project activities include: (1) supporting Fijian Presidency to deliver a successful Facilitative Dialogue among Parties in 2018 by developing information relevant for the region and supporting participation in the technical part of the Dialogue; (2) promoting education and awareness of youth through support for a Global Youth Forum around the May 2018 Bonn session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC); (3) providing training to Fijian National Climate Negotiations Team on each of the Paris Agreement agenda items; and (4) increasing awareness of the linkages between climate change and gender equality.
