The objective of the project is to involve the intern in the activities of a dairy farm with 120 milking cows in a free-stall barn. The intern will assist with milking cows, grounds maintenance, animal care, field work and operating machinery.

The objective of the project is to involve the intern in the production of tomatoes and other vegetable varieties grown by the vegetable crop business. The intern will assist with land preparation, seeding, transplanting, plant monitoring and harvesting of fruits and vegetables.

The objective of this project is to provide a learning and work experience in the diverse organic vegetable crop sector. The intern will participate in crop establishment (seeding and transplanting), hand weeding with tools, harvesting, post-harvest treatments, storage and handling, distribution and marketing.

The objective of the project is for the intern to gain experience in running a cow/calf operation with a direct beef program, the intern will learn how the day to day operation operates. The operation is a verified beef plus, EU certified, animal welfare and humane handling certified by A&W and McDonald's sustainable.

​The objective of the project is to provide the employee with experience on an urban farm that grows vegetables and cut-flowers on under-utilized space. The employee will be involved in soil testing, pest management, crop rotation, harvesting, and processing and selling the product.

​The objective of this project is to hire an intern to work on a vineyard that grows Chardonnay and Riesling grapes. The intern will provide general farm labour including weeding, repair  of vine stakes, planting, pruning and mowing.

​The objective of the project is a commercial grain and oilseed farm.
The intern will assist in spring work that includes, but not limited to: Equipment preparation, support seeding activities, equipment operation such as harrowing and land rolling and spraying support. Summer work that includes, but not limited to: Spraying support, rock picking and land reclamation of  re-purposed land (pasture to cultivated land), fence removal and clean-up, general equip. - Fall activities to include, but not limited to: Combine operator, fall spraying and disking activities, yard work.

The objective of the project is to assist with custom farming operations such as cultivating, planting crops, spraying, fertilizer application, harvesting, manure spreading etc. for other farmers so they do not need to invest in a complete line of expensive farm equipment for their operation.  In addition they run their own farming operation on owned and rented land.  They operate a grain elevator and run a lystegro operation for disposing of human waste which has been converted to fertilizer. The intern ​would be trained on the safe and proper operation of large scale farming equipment.  This equipment would include tractors, sprayers and fertilizer spreaders. Standard equipment maintenance and pre-trip greasing will be completed.  Employee will be responsible for calculating correct amount of product required, identifying the correct field and carefully applying the product. Paperwork must be completed for each field and ongoing communication with the supervisor is important.  ​

​The objective of the project is to assist Great Lakes Greenhouses Inc., a commercial greenhouse that specializes in conventional cucumber production as well as organic cucumber and eggplant production. The Intern will directly assist the Labour Manager.  Duties will include directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. The Intern will also be responsible for resolving personnel problems, investigating issues, recommend action plans and hold employees accountable to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

​The objective of the project is to assist ​with a family dairy and cash crop farm. The intern will assist with the livestock, providing general animal husbandry (feeding, milking, bedding, cleaning, etc.).
