Project activities include: (1) delivering agricultural extension services and market-oriented training to farm households, with a particular focus on providing information linked to improved cultural practices and the appropriate use of fertilizers, pesticides, tools and machinery; (2) equipping District Agricultural Departments and Regional Agricultural Departments with extension materials, equipment and logistical support; (3) supporting innovative, demand-driven and market-oriented research to address current challenges being faced by smallholder farmers; (4) updating and reorienting a standardized curriculum for agricultural colleges and farm institutes to be more market-focused, gender-sensitive and climate-smart; and (5) improving the enabling (administrative and legal) environment to facilitate access to local and foreign markets for agricultural production.

Project activities include: (1) providing training to women, youth and men entrepreneurs and municipal employees in gender equality, leadership, marketing and business development; (2) promoting learning opportunities for small-scale entrepreneurs through exchanges and model businesses; (3) strengthening business support and development centers; (4) promoting innovative and efficient production technologies; (5) establishing key market alliances; (6) implementing a youth entrepreneurs development program including tutoring; and(7) creating business incubation centers.

The project focuses on the inclusion of women and vulnerable groups and on eliminating differences based on gender, economic condition or place of residence.

Project activities include: (1) providing emergency shelter assistance, including tents and winterization kits; (2) scaling up emergency health services, such as medical care, mental health and psychosocial support; (3) providing integrated assistance through multi-purpose cash, livelihood and shelter support; (4) supporting the procurement and mobilization of in-kind humanitarian items; and (5) ensuring the protection of vulnerable people, including through gender and inclusion programming.

Project activities include: (1) providing emergency cash and voucher assistance to meet the basic needs of crisis-affected populations; (2) providing emergency shelter assistance and essential non-food items; (3) rehabilitating water, sanitation and hygiene facilities; and (5) providing protection and health services, including sexual and reproductive healthcare and services in response to gender-based violence.

The project is designed to make climate and weather information services more user-friendly and gender-sensitive to improve the ability of farmers, in particular women, to apply climate data.

Project activities include: (1) convening and delivering 15 workshops in the 6 countries on monitoring and evaluation to track resolutions’ implementation and progress on National Action Plans (NAPs); (2) conducting 15 localization workshops to draft Local Action Plans (LAPs) on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), and to provide technical support, resources and media support to roll out the third generation NAPs in Nigeria and the DRC; (3) providing technical assistance to Local Steering Committees; (4) facilitating three budget workshops of WPS NAPs and LAPs in Colombia, the DRC, and Nigeria; (5) convening eight workshops on community climate change response; (6) delivering five workshops to increase the capacity of journalists and other media practitioners on WPS and YPS; and, (7) conducting six Training-of-Trainers sessions covering gender equality, peacebuilding, preventing violence extremism and social media.

Key project activities include: (1) facilitating government policy and service provision through the utilization of time use data; (2) supporting grassroots actions to redistribute care at the household and community levels through the use of Gender Model Families (GMFs); (3) supporting women’s rights organizations (WROs) from regional to district level to undertake a National Advocacy Strategy on UPCW; and (4) supporting local entrepreneurs and women-led businesses to develop and market new goods and services to reduce the burden of UPCW for W&Gs.

This project aims to help law enforcement agencies in Ukraine enhance their effectiveness in investigating serious crimes in line with a human rights-based and gender-sensitive approach. The project supports the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine (SBI) the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), and other governmental stakeholders and community experts to improve criminal justice and law enforcement policies to meet human rights and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) commitments.
