The purpose of this agreement is to assist Algonquins of Ontario to review Ontario Power
Generation’s application for an amendment to their Darlington Nuclear Generating Station
Operating License for the production of additional isotopes using the target delivery system.

This initiative will examine the trajectories of emerging and disruptive technologies (EDT) and other weapons of mass destruction relevant technologies (WMD-RT), with the aim of identifying those that either present WMD threats that can be countered or have the potential to support WMD non-proliferation and counter-terrorism efforts. Project activities include: (1) Conducting a Global Mapping and Horizon Scanning Workshop; (2)Conducting a Scenario Building and Futures Workshop and; (3) Producing a final report and action plan that provides insights and recommendations for Global Partnership action on weapons of mass destruction (WMD) Related Technologies

The Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) Bangladesh (2024-2029) project will support the most vulnerable women and communities of Bangladesh by providing capacity building and multi-year funding to selected women’s rights organizations (WROs). It will also support networking and alliance-building among WROs to influence policy and decision-makers more effectively. The project will scale up outreach activities, support mass advocacy campaigns, and strengthen the operations of these WROs. It will target a wider range of WROs addressing themes such as prevention of sexual and gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, marginalization and exclusion, safe migration, human rights, and social movements to protect women’s rights. This project will be national in scope and expects to reach 70,000 women directly and 130,000 indirectly.

Hurricane Beryl in July caused extensive damage in Jamaica and cost the agricultural sector $4.73 billion in losses, affecting 48,852 farmers. The project aims to equip rural at-risk youth in Manchester, Jamaica, with vocational skills and certifications to enhance their livelihood and income opportunities and improve community climate resilience. The Project intends to empower 210 rural youth through skills training in trades such as crop production, commercial food preparation, greenhouse technology, butchery, and nail care. The project also aims to train youths in climate-smart farming techniques like irrigation, crop rotation, and mulching, and intends to better equip them to support local agriculture education and food supply.

This project is part of Canada’s Renewed Women Voice and Leadership flagship initiative. It will aim to equip PEKKA Foundation and Pekka union activists with the necessary skills, resources and support to strengthen their ability to effectively advocate for women's rights and drive sustainable social change. This will, in turn, enhance their cohesiveness and sustainability and help them work in a coordinated and collaborative manner, building an active feminist movement for long-term change. By promoting gender equality and empowering women to assert their rights, the project aims to foster an environment where access and control over livelihood and economic resources, social and legal protection and security are no longer sources of inequality, and structural poverty.
