About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Stronger Together: Building Capacity for Yukon'S First Community Pride Centre

This will be achieved by developing strategic programming, increasing managerial and board capacity, developing clear organizational governance structures, ensuring long-term financial sustainability, strengthening collaboration, and building networks among rural and national organizations, as well as developing bilingual capacity within a pride centre. This project will specifically aim to engage Queer & Trans, Black, Indigenous, & People of Colour, Francophones, and LGBTQIA2S+ people living in Yukon's rural communities in the development of strategic programming.
At the end of the project, the organization will have increased its board and staff capacity, established solid territorial networks, joined, and participated in Pan-Canadian networks, developed a strategic, marketing and advocacy plans, evaluation framework, and governance model that will lead to the creation of a community driven and well-organized pride centre in the Yukon.
Supplemental funds will be used to review and update the strategic plan, roles and organization structure, and leadership development; advance community engagement and LGBTQ2 equity through an intersectional approach; and amplify organizational presence and impact in the community through the implementation of a marketing strategy, rebranding, and the development of an advocacy strategy.

Métis Two-Spirit Pride: Protecting and Celebrating 2SLGBTQQIA+ Individuals

Through this 42-month project , Les Femmes Michif Otipemisiwak will increase its ability to prevent or address gender-based violence against Indigenous women, girls, or 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. This will be achieved by the development of a Metis 2SLGBTQQIA+ National Action Plan, with representation from across the Metis Nation Motherland.
This National Action Plan will be achieved by the creation of a Metis 2SLGBTQQIA+ National Advisory Committee to oversee the project development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The committee will identify and fill existing gaps relating to the experiences and perspectives of Metis 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals, with an emphasis on prevention models. This will include engagement with Metis 2SLGBTQQIA+ people regarding their Gender-based Voilence (GBV) experiences, culturally relevant supports and data gathering practices and protocols.
During this research and data collection, as well as through engagement, the Metis 2SLGBTQQIA+ National Advisory Committee will develop and share a Metis 2SLGBTQQIA+ National Action Plan with project funders, partners, and civil society groups
