The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.

This project will develop an innovative platform for delivering mRNA therapies with enhanced precision to specific cells. It moves beyond traditional delivery methods by incorporating glycan-based targeting ligands, which offer a new active targeting approach. This strategy has broad therapeutic applications, with the potential to greatly improve treatment outcomes.

The Project combines field sampling over two years in the Fraser River and the Strait of Georgia along with the Recipient and the NRC developing numerical models at different scales to understand microplastics fate from source to sinks in these water systems. Standard protocols will be developed for sampling along with methods for analysis of microplastics in aquatic environments. The sampling data will establish a database for microplastic lateral and vertical distribution and their temporal evolution. Microplastic hotspots will be identified. The field sampling results will feed into numerical simulations tracking microplastic particles in realistic flow fields and will also provide data for validating the numerical model assumptions. The numerical tools will be used in a complementary way to predict the fate of microplastics under realistic scenarios. The field and simulated data will contribute to creating a decision support system for informing policy makers and environmental organizations.

Personalized content in our industry includes having deeper understanding of the industry the customer is in, the intended use of their custom products, and location, demographics and preferences of the user. Many of these types of insights can come from assessing the user’s behaviour on SY.com including their uploaded images and design preferences.

The purpose of this CanExport Innovation agreement is to support Canadian organizations to carry out activities related to pursuing opportunities that would lead to establishing new collaborative Research and Development (R&D) partnerships between the Recipient and foreign organizations in order to support R&D on the Recipient’s technology and advance its commercialization.
