Grants and Contributions

Project activities include: (1) conducting policy advocacy initiatives to address policy barriers to women's entrepreneurship; (2) providing entrepreneurship and business management training opportunities for women; (3) supporting access to sustainable financial solutions for women in women-led micro-small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and agricultural cooperatives; and (4) designing and implementing renewable energy placement programs for women and female youth apprentices or trainees, focusing on students and recent graduates.

When rovers explore other planets or celestial objects such as the Moon to collect scientific data, they are programmed to find rocks and other materials based on basic features like shape and texture.

This project is part of Global Affairs Canada’s International Youth Internship Program (IYIP), funded by the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy.

Will develop and test of a comprehensive model for the integration of literacy and essential skills (LES) into ongoing community-based initiatives such as street nurse programs, medical clinics and drop-in facilities within inner-city and urban areas.

The project will consist of 3 initiatives: 1) Nova Scotia's Active Transportation Future is an ArcGIS web app that presents the state of active transportation planning across the province at-a-glance. 2) Roadmaps to AT Plans is a stakeholder engagement program that will meet with municipal staff, band councils, elected officials, community members and groups to identify barriers and next steps to drafting AT plans in 1-2 communities. 3) How to Engage with Public Engagement will develop educational materials that demystify the common transportation planning workflow, set realistic expectations of information available at each stage, and provide curated tools and resources for communicating design ideas visually without needing any prior experience.
