Coordinated primary and community care:
Complex medical care and/or supports for frail patients (including people living with dementia)
Complex mental health and/or substance use
Improved access to surgical services (perioperative services)
Consideration for accessibility of services in rural, remote, First Nations communities
Innovative health technologies to facilitate patient-centered, team-based care, and to enable secure access to health care services and information

The purpose of the Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research (SRCR) Education and Training Support (SETS) grant is to provide funding to help with the costs of developing and delivering an education and/or training activity (e.g. workshops, webinars, online education, conferences, etc.). The SETS grant contributes to the costs of activities such as workshops, webinars, online education, and conferences that advance understanding of the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS) and/or the Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR Framework).

The objective of the Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research (SRCR) with this Travel Grant is to promote RCR and to provide researchers, faculty, graduate students and institutional administrators responsible for Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) from Canadian institutions with an opportunity to engage and learn more about RCR from an international perspective. As with previous SRCR travel grants, attendees will have the opportunity to learn the state of progress of research integrity across the globe, discuss RCR challenges and emerging topics, and exchange ideas and experience with national and institutional leaders, policy makers, research funders, professional societies, journal editors, publishers, researchers, educators, administrators, and students. Attendees will also be in a position to disseminate the knowledge and best practices gathered during the conference to enhance their institutions’ understanding of RCR and build on their existing RCR curriculum.

The President’s Fund grants are intended to:

support organizations and initiatives whose goal is consistent with CIHR’s vision, mandate and strategic directions;
provide financial assistance for events that will increase CIHR’s visibility such as conferences, workshops or other events where the objectives of the event align with the interests of CIHR overall and not individual Institutes;
provide special, one-time grants to support health research activities where the request falls outside of CIHR’s regular funding programs.

The President’s Fund grants are intended to:

The ICS Program is designed to foster community development by providing grants and awards to individuals and organizations for the purposes of:

• Enabling research and knowledge translation activities where the circumstances fall outside of CIHR's current suite of funding programs.

• Supporting individuals and organizations whose goals are consistent with CIHR and its Institutes' vision, mandate and strategic directions.

The ICS Program is not intended to support the direct cost of research (e.g., pilot projects, feasibility studies or operating grants), principal and co-investigator salaries or research equipment.

To provide recognition and funding to academic researchers; to provide a reliable supply of highly skilled and qualified researchers.

To provide travel funds to individuals in aid of research and knowledge translation activities consistent with the CIHR initiative’s priorities or CIHR institutes’ vision, mandate and strategic directions.
