The Eastern Europe and Transatlantic Network (EETN) will explore strategic challenges arising from Russia’s war in Ukraine, focusing on redefining Canada’s and its allies’ approach to Ukraine, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia.

Through this project, Canada provides a contribution to the Conflict-Related Sexual Violence Prevention Multi-Partner Trust Fund (CRSV-MPTF) that help create the implementation of the Framework of Cooperation signed between the Special Representative of the Secretary General on Sexual Violence in Conflict and the Government of Ukraine. It aims to enhance Ukrainian’s capacity to actively prevent and respond to conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV).

This project supports the provision of vital chemical, biological, nuclear and radiological (CBRN) protective equipment to Ukraine, specifically, gas masks and their required filters.

Project for support, adaptation and reintegration of Veterans into civilian life in Ukraine after returning from captivity through organizing events, meetings, consultations and advocacy campaigns.

This project supports the Government of Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen decentralized recovery planning and implementation.

The project aims to increase security and safety for women, girls, men, and boys in Ukraine. The project supports the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoIA) and the National Police of Ukraine (NPU) to effectively respond to the security needs of the population in the face of Russian aggression.
Project activities include: (1) providing technical assistance and equipment to the NPU to efficiently address cases of conflict-related sexual violence; (2) providing advice and guidance to the NPU and MoIA on meeting the requirements for Ukraine’s European Union accession to police reform; (3) providing support to expand and increase the sustainability of the police peer-to-peer psychological health community of practice and enable the police to provide psychological health first aid to conflict-affected communities; (4) increasing the NPU capacity to adapt and implement the community policing national strategy and efficiently address public safety issues related to the war; and (5) expanding a community safety hubs network that unite police and community stakeholders in responding to safety issues identified in their communities, including in newly-liberated areas and conflict-affected communities.

The project supports the efforts of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) to enhance the capacity of Ukrainian mine action institutions to implement effective and gender-responsive mine action operations, develop country-appropriate information management solutions, and lead efficient donor coordination platforms.

This project supports Ukrainian authorities in locating missing persons following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) will assist in identifying victims and supporting exhumations to judicial standards of evidence.

The Women Veterans Reintegration in Ukraine project will work to improve the employability of women veterans ultimately contributing to their successful socio-economic inclusion and reintegration as they transition to civilian life, in targeted regions of Ukraine.

This project will see Wicket enter into the US market by attending various tradeshows and events to promote Wicket to both professional associations and key influencers in the marketplace.
