The Conflict and Resilience Research Institute Canada (CRRIC) will lead coordination, research, training, and facilitation activities and engage Canadian experts in the Charting a Path to Lasting Peace in MN initiative. The project will be based in Winnipeg, Canada, with activities in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Malaysia through collaborating partners like the Center for Alternatives (Bangladesh) and will be implemented over a 24-month period.

Project activities include: (1) establishing comprehensive sexuality education programs for adolescents in school and community settings; (2) training and accompanying healthcare practitioners in inclusive health practices that respect the dignity and needs of women, adolescent girls and marginalized groups; (3) supporting local initiatives to promote peace, social cohesion and issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in collaboration with community and religious leaders; (4) rehabilitating and equipping healthcare facilities in a sustainable manner, including biomedical waste management, to offer safe services that meet the needs of women, adolescent girls and marginalized groups; and (5) conducting campaigns on the

Through this 16-month project, Quadrangle NL will develop community-informed initiatives to inform service providers and decision makers of key healthcare issues facing 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The 2023 supplementary funds will be used to hire an Organizational Processes and Systems Project Manager to ensure the information generated from the policies, procedures and capacity building initiatives previously established are embedded into the organization's internal infrastructure, communication and decision making processes.

It will also provide support to other queer serving organizations in their advocacy initiatives. This collaborative effort will focus on resource sharing among organizations to offer a reliable and equitable flow of resources to strengthen partner organizations, which will foster sustainability and collective growth in the community.

Through this 20-month systemic change project, Canadian Women and Sport will scale its Gender Equity Playbook initiative to new regions in Atlantic, Ontario, Prairies, and Pacific and to stakeholders across Canada to advance women’s equality through representation in leadership and decision-making roles in the sports sector.

The project will host focus groups with Aboriginal women and girls across the province, connect with post-secondary institutions and other stakeholders to learn about systemic barriers and identify opportunities for change, work with an advisory group to support solutions to that change, and pilot initiatives such as information sessions, mentoring opportunities and in-person retreats.

Through this 21-month systemic change project, the Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC will scale the $10aDay Child Care initiative to advance women’s economic security and prosperity and representation in organizational leadership and decision-making roles.

Best practices will be reviewed, and final recommendations for policy change initiatives to eliminate barriers, including a hiring model, will be advocated and shared via social media to move equitable hiring practices forward.

Pier Labs and their key partner, the Valley Regional Enterprise Network, aim to develop a better economic infrastructure that integrates care work via supporting local women to design and test conceptual prototypes across the Annapolis Valley Region. This initiative will help advance women’s economic recovery from the current impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
