trustworthiness of individuals.

A digital trust score or social index score is a profile measure that examines the trustworthiness of an individual on the basis of publicly available online information. Trust Science' project includes patented methods that look at current data across numerous data sources, providing not only past, but future insight into an individual.

Earthmaster is an environmental sciences company that provides services to the upstream oil and gas industry. Earthmaster has developed a phytoremediation technology (PEPSystems) for treatment of soil contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons and salt from oil and gas related activities. This project entails the training of a new graduate on the full range of environmental services offered by Earthmaster and to expose them to the PEPSystems technology.

Ecopia has developed and scaled artificial intelligence technology that identifies and extracts building features from geospatial imagery, outputting a vector feature layer of buildings (a digital “Building Map”). This project aims to allow Ecopia to adapt and further develop this capability to extract a vector feature layer of roads (a digital “Road Map”) from geospatial imagery.

Sinitic proposes a novel neural architecture to automatically identify and improve dialogue policy from customer support chat histories. The learned policies will be visualized on a graphic interface.

MTB Transit Solutions is partnering with the University of Toronto and Electrovaya to undertake a bus repowering project to convert diesel buses to electric buses for York Region Transit. With this project MTB will become the first bus repair/refurbishment company in Canada to offer diesel to electric repowering. Repowering diesel buses will extend their lifespan by up to eight years as well as support significant GHG emissions reductions, amounting to approximately 83% or more fewer emissions per bus. Repowering diesel buses with electrical capabilities will also increase rider satisfaction as electric buses are lower to the ground, roomier, do not smell like fuel, lack the vibration of diesel buses, and are almost silent.
