Manitoba Harvest is undertaking this project titled “Creating Innovative Hemp Foods for the Consumer-Packaged Goods Marketplace”. The objective of this project is to increase retail acceptance, awareness and sales of Canadian grown hemp foods, by creating new innovative taste-forward food products that will be sold across North America.

Looking to partner with Chinese companies involved in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. There is a large conference in London we have been invited too. The Chinese are dominant in this space and a logical market to target.

GetQuorum is an easy-to-use online proxy voting system and governance notice distribution service for Condo Meetings to help condominium corporations reach meeting quorum. Condominium corporations using the community section on GetQuorum’s online platform will be able to influence their residents for more environmentally favourable behaviors with regards to recycling, electronic delivery of notices, and electric vehicle charging stations.

The objective of the project is to monitor material loss in pipelines due to corrosion using an electrical resistance remote data logger that utilizes electronic probe elements over time and reports changes in a cloud-based user interface.

As MetaFLO as grown and become more recognized in the liquid waste management business, we have seen a much wider range of liquid waste streams that required solidification, such as concrete cuttings, brine based drill fluids, sediment sludge from treatment lagoons, and sewage sludge. Through our experiences, it has been seen that various waste streams may have a deterioration impact on our existing reagents. Gaining a deeper understanding of solidification reagents on a molecular level will give us more insight into what may be causing the deterioration in reagent performance and find new products or formulations that will perform better in those problematic waste streams. ARP - Berry production feasibility study in a controlled environment

Esprit-ai is a company dedicated to helping seniors live longer, healthier lives independently whether this is in their own homes or in a long term care for assisted living facility. We do this unobtrusively by tracking activities and notifying the care givers if there are abnormalities in behaviour patterns VIA an application on their smart phone.

This project is to help fund the development of the esprit-ai go to market plan which will include experimenting with various promotion and channel strategies, collecting feedback from friendly user trials, developing the first commercially available product complete with packaging and initial pricing and commercial terms.

Post launch we expect to reach 200K$ in revenue in 2019.

Engage Grants (EGP) are designed to give innovative companies that operate from a Canadian base access to the unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities available at Canadian universities and colleges. These grants are intended to foster the development of new research partnerships by supporting short-term research and development projects aimed at addressing a company-specific problem; that is, a problem related to the company’s core competencies or activities. The simplified application and decision processes enable university and college researchers to quickly undertake new research collaborations that extend academic expertise to these problems. The mutually beneficial projects are expected to result in economic benefits to the company and to Canada and build impactful longer term collaborations between the applicant and the company.
