This project is to characterize an extract from Humulus genus with a goal of developing technical methods and specifications needed to capture current and emerging trends and opportunities for extracts and derivatives.

Development of tools based on artificial intelligence technologies to assist in the analysis of component inspection data by non-destructive control.

Development of an environmental fabric line to reduce dependence on petroleum products.

Flocker focuses on helping streaming entrepreneurs to accomplish their desired goal to make a living sharing their passion. Flocker will do this by providing monetization tools to content creators. Some of these tools will include: Subscribe to watch, Merchandising, and Donations. To encourage creators to leverage these monetization tools, Flocker will develop features to improve engagement such as: leaderboards, supporter rewards, in-video stream alerts and feedback. By consolidating these tools together onto a single platform, Flocker will streamline setup for the streamer as well as simplify and unify stream viewer experiences.

This CanExport project is aimed at firmly establishing Overlap as market leaders in the UK. Funding will support our ability to build the business successfully—including winning new work and building a UK-based team in 2019.

The Collaborative Research and Development (CRD) Grants are intended to give companies that operate from a Canadian base access to the unique knowledge, expertise, and educational resources available at Canadian postsecondary institutions and to train students in essential technical skills required by industry. The mutually beneficial collaborations are expected to result in industrial and/or economic benefits to Canada.

The purpose of the contribution is to provide funding for the costs associated with hiring a consultant to conduct on-site audits and organize & facilitate community input to help determine the level of efficiency and operational readiness of the individual detachments and Headquarters.

Canada Cultural Spaces Fund

This 12-month project will raise awareness with men and boys, alongside women and girls, towards action in eliminating gender-based violence. In partnership with women’s organizations, the CFL and Edmonton Junior Football, the organization will create meaningful participatory experiences at the week-long 2018 Grey Cup festival held in Edmonton, Alberta that draw attention to gender based violence, trafficking, sexual exploitation and their association with sporting events. These include a Breakfast with The Guys initiative, in which youth and sport role models are engaged in a discussion around domestic violence and their roles in addressing gendered violence; as well as train the trainer activities aimed at junior football players, allowing them to support the continuation of training to additional junior players throughout the year. ACWS will also partner with the Action Coalition on Human Trafficking Alberta to develop tools to assist those working in the hospitality industry to better understand and recognize potential trafficking and sexual exploitation; as well as work with the Edmonton Police Services to establish a baseline on the rates of violence against women associated with sporting events. An evaluation will measure the success of project activities to establish a framework to inform future work linking gender-based violence and sporting events.
