The objective of this funding opportunity is to support a knowledge synthesis network designed to collaborate and rapidly respond to the need for synthesized evidence across the full breadth of Canada's COVID-19 pandemic response (including public-health measures, clinical management, health-system arrangements, and economic and social impacts). Through a highly collaborative approach, the knowledge synthesis network is expected to:

-Produce rapid knowledge syntheses and associated evidence-based products (e.g., evidence profiles) related to the COVID-19 pandemic, based on current evidence and that responds to an identified evidence need;
-Provide decision-makers with high-quality, timely, accessible and relevant evidence for the rapid translation of knowledge into policy, practice and/or clinical guidelines to address the immediate response to the pandemic; and
-Address evidence gaps and build the evidence base for the response to COVID-19;
-Enhance national and international coordination across knowledge synthesis experts and organizations involved in producing COVID-19 related products.

CytoGnomix Inc is partnering with the Ontario Institute of Evaluative and Clinical Sciences (IC/ES) to obtain access to the geographic COVID-19 daily incidence data and geostatistics software licenses.

Engage consultants for two clinical studies

BOLD-100 is a first-in-class, clinical-stage investigational therapy being developed for the treatment of patients with cancer and viral infections, including COVID-19.

Project activities include: (1) supporting countries in developing individual RMNCAH-N investment cases to align sources of financing to national priorities; (2) clinical interventions such as increasing access to health services and health facilities from the pre-pregnancy stage onwards for women, newborns and children; (3) health systems interventions such as strengthening health systems, strengthening health information systems and increasing access to medical products/technologies; and (4) multi-sectoral interventions in multiple sectors such as education, nutrition, and water and sanitation and strengthening of CRVS systems.

The Recipient will collaborate with the NRC to integrate the models within a system for clinical validation. The COVID-19 cough will be explored to understand if there are unique features.

Project activities include: (1) improving access to comprehensive SRHR services for women and girls by providing family planning, ante-natal and post-natal services, screening for sexually transmitted infections, SGBV detection and counselling, and cervical cancer screening and treatment; (2) organizing capacity building for local women’s rights organizations (WROs), and better coordination of WROs, civil society organizations, community mobilizers (CMs) and community health providers (CHPs) who work to lead community outreach and education activities; (3) providing training to clinic staff, CMs and CHPs to better detect SGBV, offering counselling and providing referrals in-person, online or through a telehealth system; (4) disseminating COVID-19 information and resources by CMs and CHPs; and (5) engaging clinic staff with community leaders and government stakeholders to better coordinate information sharing and SRHR, SGBV and COVID-19 responses.
