Using software and Laval's extant mold designs, this project aims to confidently predict where material (tool steel) could be removed from the main blocks of a mold (to reduce weight) without compromising the durability or service life of a mold.

This project is to setup a standalone legal and corporate entity for ShipTrack Inc. such that it has its own business plan, management team, finances, intellectual property and employees.

Wind speeds in Toronto limit the utility of outdoor venues during Fall and Spring seasons by discouraging programs that require weather mitigated spaces (e.g. patios, outdoor markets). Structures that can reduce wind speeds by 75% and provide rain cover have the potential to extend the usability of outdoor venues by up to six weeks in Spring and four weeks in Fall. This project will develop a weather mitigation product that is easily deployable, reconfigurable, weather-responsive, and mass-producible to extend the seasonal utility of outdoor venues in Toronto. Its scope will include the construction of a full-scale prototype and verification of its performance via site-collected weather data.

clevr software is an integrated online forms solution currently being implemented within K-12 schools and School Districts across Canada. The “Scaling clevr for Growth” project will enable clevr the opportunity to implement and improve clevr's scalability within the current Canadian K-12 environment, as well as, enter new markets more effectively.

The position will work with our current Data Analyst to increase our focus on the data collection of our technology, ensuring that we are utilizing the real-time data that our technologies tracks and testing our products for both quality control and ongoing review. The Eddy suite of products collects water usage/consumption data as well as water incidents, and this position will help analyse our findings and work with our engineering team to effectively review and report on findings.

A virtual innovation management tool- Stratford Managers is preparing to launch a suite of very unique services to help SMEs deliberately and continuously innovate. Our experience with SMEs that we support is that they start their companies because they have an innovative product idea, then they focus on delivery/revenue growth and their innovation stalls. There are four main reasons for this: Ideas get stuck in a parking lot, there is no accountability for innovation as a core strategic initiative, innovation is prioritized last due to the distraction of the day-to-day, and/or the culture and climate of the organization do not foster innovation.

ThinkOn proposes to build a highly scalable, indexed and searchable repository that can anonomise data for enhanced privacy without removing the value from the data for future analysis. The solution we want to build will allow organizations to consolidate all logged data from dispersed data sets into one safe and secure environment.

When complete, this offering will allow data from any data source to be consolidated into a single source of truth that will be very secure, anonymous as required and fully searchable to provide a true single source of truth from which security and performance improvement analysis can be performed without the risk of privacy loss or misrepresentation.

Research and implementation regarding user interface flows, interactions, and dynamically generated feedback for the TOVI Health app.

The SkyWatch EarthCache platform aggregates the world’s satellite data and makes it available to everyone in a simple API. When comparing images and other observations from different providers, various factors make it difficult to accurately detect changes from one time period to the next. We will build a system to co-register images from multiple sources to increase order fulfillment and the quality/usability of the data delivered to our customers.

Melanin is known to protect fungi and other organisms from high doses of ionizing radiation. Thus, melanin-based radioprotectors could help solve the problem of radioprotection in space.

This project will investigate the protective anti-carcinogenesis effects of melanin-containing black mushrooms when ingested, study its effect on preventing colon cancer, and evaluate the radioprotective effects on melanin-containing materials on the central nervous system.
