Grants and Contributions
About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Development in Gasification Process and Waste Water Management Applied on Biomass Disposal and Oil Mining Industries to Minimize Environmental Impact and Generate Energy.

The integration of the small size machine with gasification unit and energy pinch will be studies for the feasibility justification. There are some uncertainties in this process need to be investigated such as moisture condensation, operating vacuum, eliminating the Volatile Organic Contents (VOCs), total drying time and pathogen level in the product. And to optimize a machine was invented by EMS earlier to gasify the solid waste and leach the Sodium salt absorbed in the product as well as process the flue gas (emission) and pinch the heat. And to improve the clean dry flat washing machine to use less water with increasing washing speed.

Work Experience
YESP2021-1618-PR
The objective of the project is an applied agricultural research farm and is part of Saskatchewan's Agri-ARM network of 8 research farms. The CLC demonstrates, on a farm-scale, soil and water conservation technology. It also serves as a field laboratory for evaluation and applicability of new research and technology.
The intern will aid in all aspects of small plot research trials. This includes, packaging, seeding, data collection, crop scouting, data entry, harvest, report writing and proposal writing. Since this work term will occur mostly during the off season, the employee will be largely involved with harvest, report and proposal writing, creating resources and updating the CLC website. The employee will also help plan the annual winter event for area producers and agrologists called "Crop Talk".
