Enhance the scale-up or implementation at-scale of evidence-based interventions for the prevention or detection and management of hypertension and/or diabetes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and/or in Indigenous populations in Canada that encourages broader international uptake.
Develop strategies for overcoming barriers to evidence-based interventions through multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral implementation science.
Create new knowledge on how to appropriately adapt interventions and foster implementation that incorporates different geographical, economic and cultural factors.

Les objectifs particuliers de cette possibilité de financement sont les suivants :
•Offrir des bourses de voyage à la conférence Santé publique 2020 (conférence annuelle de l’ACSP) aux présentateurs (utilisateurs des connaissances, stagiaires ou chercheurs en début de carrière) dont la candidature a été acceptée au programme scientifique de Santé publique 2020.
•Appuyer la communication, à Santé publique 2020, de travaux de recherche :
¿qui abordent une ou plusieurs des priorités de recherche stratégique de l’ISPP;
¿qui permettent d’accroître la capacité du milieu canadien de la recherche en santé à diriger et à soutenir des projets de recherche de pointe et d’application des connaissances en santé publique et des populations, à l’échelle nationale et internationale, et à y collaborer; et/ou iii) qui s’inscrivent dans le prolongement des initiatives actuelles de l’ISPP (p. ex. initiatives phares Environnements et santé et Voies de l’équité en santé).

Promote the creation of new knowledge that is relevant to communities affected by HIV in Canada and aligns with the goals of the Federal Initiative; Promote the dissemination of new knowledge and uptake of evidence into action to enhance the community response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic; Develop partnerships between researchers and affected communities;
Build capacity in the knowledge user community to engage in research and use evidence in their everyday business;
Build the next generation of HIV/AIDS CBR researchers through meaningful engagement of trainees in high quality CBR projects; and Reduce the incidence of new infections in high-risk groups by focusing research on prevention efforts.

The ICS Program is designed to foster community development by providing grants and awards to individuals and organizations for the purposes of:

• Enabling research and knowledge translation activities where the circumstances fall outside of CIHR's current suite of funding programs.

• Supporting individuals and organizations whose goals are consistent with CIHR and its Institutes' vision, mandate and strategic directions.

The ICS Program is not intended to support the direct cost of research (e.g., pilot projects, feasibility studies or operating grants), principal and co-investigator salaries or research equipment.

Foster a safe space for Indigenous Peoples to share ideas on Indigenous gender and wellness with supporters who will help them to grow their ideas into fundable projects. Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning to develop and strengthen Indigenous-focused projects.

To provide travel funds to individuals in aid of research and knowledge translation activities consistent with the CIHR initiative’s priorities or CIHR institutes’ vision, mandate and strategic directions.
