Isolated brown dwarfs are good examples of what extrasolar planets look like, while also being much easier to study as their observations are not hindered by the glare of a host star. This project will study how the content and properties of brown dwarf clouds depend on the temperature and pressure in their atmospheres, and thereby on their age. The observations will be very important for understanding the clouds and atmospheres of both brown dwarfs and extrasolar planets, and for interpreting future observations with JWST.

Ensuring the continuity of uses on the Manicouagan territory while preserving natural resources

This project aims to purchase beekeeping equipment, boats, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, a gamebird plucker, and cold storage units for fishing, hunting, harvesting, processing, and storing traditional country food.

The project will consist of a two-day workshop in Montréal focused on better understanding the double standards in applying the rules-based international order and how norms can trigger security challenges between states.

The purpose of this program is to support enhancements in marine safety and marine environmental protection in Canadian waters, while embracing the concepts of codevelopment and sustainable economic development. The objectives are to enhance the capacity and facilitate the participation of partners and stakeholders in support of marine safety and marine environmental protection.

The objectives of the Labour Funding Program are to:.• promote respect for fundamental labour rights and international obligations through capacity building of labour administrations and exchange of good practice in the areas of labour relations and working conditions; .• develop and transfer knowledge on effective approaches to address the labour dimensions of globalization in Canada and internationally; .• strengthen relationships that foster collaboration, partnership, alliances and networks to address labour issues; .• support the capacity of governments, labour and management, and employers and employees to identify and address labour issues; and, .• promote knowledge sharing through the development, exchange and application of knowledge, tools and resources that address labour issues and/or sustain or enhance labour practices and labour relations. .

The funding supports projects that enable seniors to age at home under two streams: .• In-Home Support Pilot Projects.• Scaling Up for Seniors. . .In-Home Support Pilot Projects stream.Provides funding to seniors-serving organizations to expand delivery of volunteer-based services to low-income and otherwise vulnerable seniors to help them age at home and provide a service that helps seniors navigate and gain access to services provided by other organizations active in the local area. .Scaling Up for Seniors stream.Provides funding to expand services that have already demonstrated results in helping seniors age at home.
