The project will create interactive public legal education resources to inform workers in precarious jobs about their legal rights in relation to sexual harassment in the workplace.

This project will offer specialized training to Crown prosecutors on prosecuting hate crimes, including training on working with victims and impacted communities in trauma-informed, culturally relevant ways.

Victims and Survivors of Crime Week projects provide an opportunity to raise awareness about victim issues and about the programs, services and laws in place to help victims and survivors of crime and their families.

This multi-year project supports core capacity for ongoing consultation and cooperation activities in the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UN Declaration), the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and measures included in the Action Plan.

The Province agrees to support the Prosecution Pilot which provides funding to interested First Nations to support their retention of private legal counsel to review their laws and prosecute infractions, where appropriate.

The project will provide access to legal information and advice services for tenants with disabilities in Quebec.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the UNDA and Action Plan, by educating membership on the Action Plan and the protections and benefits indigenous peoples should experience through a series of engagement sessions.

The project will provide access to culturally safe and trauma-informed services to Indigenous community members residing in Tiohtià:ke and surrounding areas who have received harm, been victim of a crime or identify as a survivor. The project will also promote healing as well as empowerment for Indigenous victims and survivors through cultural programming, Elder mentorship and connection to community.

The Recipient agrees to contribute to addressing the overrepresentation of Indigenous people in the criminal justice system through activities such as Gladue aftercare, civil/family mediation, prevention, diversion and/or reintegration.

Provide financial assistance to an individual Canadian victim of a specified serious violent crime in a foreign jurisdiction for emergency situations of undue hardship where no other source of financial assistance is available (specified categories of crimes are homicide, sexual assault, aggravated assault or assault with serious personal violence, or threat of serious violence, including against a child) or to an individual support person to accompany, attend with or support a Canadian victimized in a foreign jurisdiction. A total of 39 individuals were approved to receive financial assistance in this regard.
