The Recipient will participate in activities directly related and attributable to participation in Finance Canada’s engagement process on Indigenous economic participation in Trans Mountain to benefit their communities. It is expected that the Indigenous Participant Funding Program will help to support the meaningful participation of Indigenous groups in initiatives related to the future divestment of Trans Mountain, led by Finance Canada or within the Minister of Finance’s purview.

The Short-Term Rental Enforcement Fund aims to limit short-term rentals that take away units from the long-term rental market across the country. This is accomplished by providing grant funding to municipalities and Indigenous communities with existing strict regulatory regimes to support the local enforcement of short-term rental restrictions in an effort to make more long-term housing units available in Canada.

Red Deer County is currently utilizing a 40 foot long conventional low floor compressed natural gas (CNG) accessible bus with a forty foot long diesel bus to provide transit services. Red Deer County is proposing to purchase four Para-Transit conventional natural gas buses with 33 seats & 4 mobility areas capacity per bus, and 2 conventional compressed natural gas transit buses with 60 seats & 2 mobility areas per bus, equipped with intelligent transit (security cameras, on board announcements for individuals with hearing and visual impairments, real time scheduling including accessing information on website and mobile applications.

This is accomplished by mobilizing partners at the federal, provincial/territorial and community levels, as well as the private and voluntary sectors, and other stakeholders, to address barriers to well-being faced by those who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.

The purpose of this agreement is to increase awareness, availability and use of lower carbon vehicles and fuels in Canada by supporting the installation of 34 electric vehicle chargers in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.
