Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: development of a sustainability plan, inclusive of human resources and retention strategies, as well as collaboration and networking. This organization will increase capacity to deliver innovative and relevant programming for women, particularly those in remote, rural and Indigenous communities.

October 2024 – Myanmar is experiencing a humanitarian crisis driven by armed conflict, economic hardship, protracted displacement and vulnerability to climate shocks. An estimated 18.6 million people require humanitarian assistance in 2024. Humanitarian organizations operate in an increasingly complex environment, with humanitarian access becoming an ever-greater challenge due to rising insecurity and restrictions.

With GAC’s support, Acted Canada improves access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene facilities, financial assistance and inclusive protection services for the most vulnerable people. Project activities include: (1) installing water purification systems; (2) constructing of latrines; (3) providing multipurpose cash assistance; and (4) providing protection services.

The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding for a multi-year plan to develop or expand new community programming that will reduce gun and gang violence in Innisfil/South Simcoe.

This project is a continuation phase of the initial G Force Blackhawk new product. The new product design in nearing prototype phase and will then enter market beta testing with select clients. The intention of this phase is to confirm the design decisions made in the initial phase. Furthermore, new innovations were realized during the design phase that are unique to the product mix, company and competitive market that need to be designed, tested and positioned.

Krux is using co-innovation as a mechanism to gain exposure / speed to market and identify additional opportunities for innovation.  

Initial focus is on the KruxMetrix product which has existing contracts in place requiring international deployment.

This project covers international partnerships being pursued initially in Chile and then one additional TBD location in South America.

Impossible Metals Canada Inc. is undertaking a three-month project to conduct product discovery based on a preliminary business case for extending the use of existing intellectual property beyond its initial design intent. The technology initially developed for deep sea mining has been identified to have potential applicability for the offshore oil and gas decommissioning market enabling a lower-cost and lower-risk solution to the existing use of divers and ROVs in the final stage of decommissioning.

Facilitation of Sinixt Activities, Engagement and Collaboration in the National Parks:
This contribution supports activities and engagement of Sinixt Confederacy, related to the operations and management of Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks and Rogers Pass National Historic Site.
Development of a Sinixt Indigenous Guardians Program:
The contribution supports the development of an Indigenous Guardian Program proposal and Strategic Plan with clear terms of reference and a timeline for implementation, including a pilot phase. The Indigenous Guardian Program will reflect the unique needs and visions of the Sinixt Confederacy and its people and will help maintain and revitalize connections with lands, waters, and wildlife that sustain the systems of Indigenous knowledge, culture and stewardship practices.
Development of a Stories of Canada Project in Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks:
The contribution supports initial work and collaboration on the development and delivery of Indigenous content and stories in Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks.

This contribution supports activities and engagement of Okanagan Indian Band, related to the operations and management of Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks and Rogers Pass National Historic Site.

The creation of a compact disc focused on the Gros Morne musical tradition aims to fill a major interpretive gap by presenting an audio document of the park’s rich musical heritage as it has emerged over time through initial settlement to its contemporary existence.
