The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to support:

• planning activities, partnership development and to increase understanding of the health research landscape that will contribute to the advancement of research consistent with the mandate of CIHR; and
• dissemination events and activities that focus on the communication of health research evidence to the appropriate researcher or knowledge-user audiences, tailoring the message and medium as appropriate.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to support:

• planning activities, partnership development and to increase understanding of the health research landscape that will contribute to the advancement of research consistent with the mandate of CIHR; and
• dissemination events and activities that focus on the communication of health research evidence to the appropriate researcher or knowledge-user audiences, tailoring the message and medium as appropriate.

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to extend the work of eligible SPOR SUPPORT Units to meet the following objective:

• To bridge the gap between research evidence and health care practice by providing services to generate evidence and innovations, leading to improvements in patient health, health care and service delivery by:
o Providing support services to respond to jurisdictional patient and community-oriented research needs;
o Strengthening and maintaining Canadian capacity in Patient-Oriented Research; and
o Engaging stakeholders (e.g. patients, policy makers, health care decision makers, clinicians and researchers) as active partners in both patient-oriented research and the implementation of its results into improved health care for Canadians.

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to extend the work of eligible SPOR SUPPORT Units to meet the following objective:

• To bridge the gap between research evidence and health care practice by providing services to generate evidence and innovations, leading to improvements in patient health, health care and service delivery by:
o Providing support services to respond to jurisdictional patient and community-oriented research needs;
o Strengthening and maintaining Canadian capacity in Patient-Oriented Research; and
o Engaging stakeholders (e.g. patients, policy makers, health care decision makers, clinicians and researchers) as active partners in both patient-oriented research and the implementation of its results into improved health care for Canadians.

The ICS Program is designed to foster community development by providing grants and awards to individuals and organizations for the purposes of: - Enabling research and knowledge translation activities where the circumstances fall outside of CIHR's current suite of funding programs. - Supporting individuals and organizations whose goals are consistent with CIHR and its Institutes' vision, mandate and strategic directions. The ICS Program is not intended to support the direct cost of research (e.g., pilot projects, feasibility studies or operating grants), principal and co-investigator salaries or research equipment.
