The project will enable AI strategies to be tested, the ideal architecture to be established and quantitative technical objectives to be achieved in preparation for the implementation of an AI solution.

Developing an AI-powered search platform for digital twins, enabling users to retrieve information and insights from complex environments using natural language queries or images. The solution integrates advanced AI models for semantic understanding, ensuring secure and accurate results.

The project will make it possible to test AI strategies, establish the ideal architecture and achieve the quantitative technical objectives in preparation for the implementation of an AI solution.

Participation in the Canadian circular battery technologies mission to South Korea – January 13 to 17, 2025. Delegation led by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to establish relationships with key customers, end-users, investors and other international firms, which will help set the stage for potential Canadian projects in the upcoming International Technology Pilot and Demonstration (ITPD) Program: Cleantech call for proposals.

The main goal of the Project is to develop a room-temperature detection technology for deep-infrared terahertz (THz) radiation with single-photon level sensitivity. This technological advancement will unlock novel quantum optical applications within this unexploited region of the electromagnetic spectrum. This collaboration is led by Jean-Michel Ménard, (UOttawa), Prof. François Blanchard, (ÉTS), NRC Researcher Dr. Angela Gamouras, and TERAXION., a manufacturer of optical components and lasers. The Parties comprise a complementary expertise in optical techniques that will support the demonstration of sensitive THz detectors from the scientific, technical, commercialization and marketing standpoint. The Project will seek to develop a new generation of THz detection devices relying on innovative experimental techniques recently demonstrated in Profs Ménard and Blanchard’s labs. Upon completion of the Project, the team will have demonstrated a compact stand-alone prototype for sensitive THz detection primarily constructed from established optical components that operate in the visible region, made useful for THz detection through photon frequency conversion techniques. TERAXION will be involved in all stages of the Project and will provide custom-designed optical components that are crucial to perform tests, optimization, and demonstration of the final design.

The Project will support the development of an innovation plan to explore integrating AI into Enaimco's core business. It will explore two key areas.

Enaimco will research and develop data governance and security guidelines for our work. Additionally, we will develop plans for two use cases that will help us deploy our Operational Twin SaaS platform more efficiently and offer enhanced AI functionality to our clients.

This project advances the Government of Canada commitment to plant an additional two billion new trees over the next 10 years as part of a broader approach to nature-based climate solutions.
