The overall objective of this initiative is to identify local SMEs in need of innovation and consulting and applied research support that will allow them to enhance production efficiency, sales and or employment through development and application of new processes, products and services within the areas of virtual production including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Screen Industry based Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML). Through collaboration with SIRT and MRC as a result of this project initiative, SMEs will be able to accelerate product & process development, marketing and commercialization.

CANDLE Lithium has developed a chemical process to extract lithium from various brines including petrolithium, geothermal, and South American salars. The individual hired will work on CANDLE’s benchtop and pilot units and on performing Li extraction from various brines. The candidate is also expected to use chemistry/engineering skillsets to troubleshoot technical obstacles as they arise and work with senior staff on brine pretreatment and water recovery systems.

Project will support a strategic business development initiative to expand into East Asia. The Firm will engage with a specialized business development team to deliver a tailored in-market roadshow, identify high-value prospects, arrange meetings, and support follow-ups.

This project aims to enable NRC IRAP clients across Canada to access the specialized innovation services of the Centre for Natural Products (CNP) at Loyalist College. An IRAP-eligible Small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) referred to the program by an ITA or a Client Engagement Advisor from NRC IRAP, and will be provided with up to 80 hours of research time. The research time will aim to solve a problem identified by the SME through providing technical information, advice, and analysis on specialized equipment.

CIM at Sheridan College is seeking funding to assist and prepare small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to develop and optimize hardware and embedded software design of electrified systems for applications such as electric vehicles (EV), battery electric vehicles (BEV) and electrified manufacturing environments.

This project aims to automate and optimize the auditing process using speech recognition and NLP techniques to transcribe and analyze calls, compare transcriptions with CAD event logs, and ensure proper identification of entities. The system will leverage police-specific vocabulary, RAG-based LLMs, and adaptive learning to improve accuracy while defining the level of human supervision needed through Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) methods.

At present, the two cars cannot be operated independently of each other. The project will focus on developing a connection between the two vehicles that will enable the front car to be operated independently of the rear car.

This project aims to develop an advanced AI-driven system to enhance analytics capabilities in sports.

To supplement its existing FireSafe product, Nu Terra will develop deep neural networks (DNNs) tailored to support a new wildfire simulation feature for the planning and assessment side of wildfire management.
