The project will support the Manitoba Métis Federation within Wave 3 of the Indigenous Justice Strategy to undertake key activities within the co-development process with Canada.
The project through a multi-stage process will focus on the prioritization of Red River Métis distinctions-based areas for action and implementation as identified within Canada’s IJS Key Element Consultation Draft.

To create a shared table with Metis National Council, Assembly of First Nations, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, and various Canadian government departments where issues arise that are common across all national Indigenous organizations. Bilateral or trilateral meetings with Metis National Council, Governing Members, and Canada ensure that Métis specific approaches to certain areas of concern are addressed.

This project will examine the capacity of the Canadian justice system and its stakeholders to provide services in both languages and prepare a report that will present this study and its conclusions.

This project aims to promote legal careers in Canada through the activities of a group of legal language professionals.

The project consists of developing two new three-credit university courses to respond to new realities in the Canadian jurilinguistic market.

The ASSEMBLY OF FIRST NATIONS Justice Sector proposes to meet with Justice Canada weekly for a technical exercise to co-develop the First Nations components of the IJS. The objective is to have a draft ready for approval by September 30, 2024, to allow time for internal approval and communications coordinator for a release in November 2024.

In 2022–2023, Cold Lake First Nations (CLFN) initiated foundational efforts to preserve the Nation's documentary heritage by creating an Archives Policy, an Archives Committee, and a Facility Plan. This led to CLFN's 2023–2024 Listen, Hear Our Voices project "Digitizing the Documentary Heritage of Cold Lake First Nations." This project focuses on digitizing at-risk items needing urgent intervention, such as oral history maps and media (cassettes, videos and floppy disks), expanding the Nation's digital storage capacity, and researching into accessibility models.

As a result of the 2022–2023 project, it has become apparent that next steps should be continued digitization of paper-based records into a digital inventory. This will be achieved using a scanner and software package purchased this year.

Project Fusion supports Fibracast’s manufacturing innovation to create the Company’s next generation membrane bioreactor (MBR) product technology. This project will create process as well as material selection innovations that will establish a competitive advantage in the global MBR .

This project is to develop an electric counterweight elevator that will satisfy current and future market needs in home elevator industry. It will offer 950lbs of capacity and 40fpm travel speed with options for various cab and entrance types.

The purpose of this CanExport Innovation agreement is to support Canadian organizations to carry out activities related to pursuing opportunities that would lead to establishing new collaborative Research and Development (R&D) partnerships between the Recipient and foreign organizations in order to support R&D on the Recipient’s technology and advance its commercialization.
